I think if you go foil which by its refractive / reflective nature says LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME! Using foils given away or "won" at FNM by beating children at standard is a little weak.
But I don't like foil to begin with so I'm hopelessly biased. Anyway regardless there is an ignore feature, of which many people have used on me I'm sure. If somebodies posts of FNM foils truly burn your corneas, or if you have korean and russian cards you can just ignore them.

I sold some cards yesterday and as I have quite some (unexpected) money, I'm thinking of purchasing some pimp stuff. As my one and only deck will be Canadian Thresh, I thought that I may finally finalize it. But... here's something to consider:
I really start to massively dislike the language, frame and border mixes. While there's hardly anything one can do about frame (if you play competitively) and the full-BB borders are also not really easy/cheap (btw, I'd play full-WB deck in a minute, but alas, there are not many Goyfs with white borders), the languages are a bit different - you may have a deck completely in one language: simply choose English. Otoh, there's no question that it's the most boring possibility, and I'd also feel like a complete moron if I'd de-japanize and de-chineze my deck right after I acquired $ 100 of new asian cards, not to mention I'd pity the many other asian cards I already own and play for several years.
So, basically I'm questioning whether I should revert back to basics and simply use a complete-Eng deck (and throw away all the jap/chi/kor) stuff or if I should just say "bah, screw the style" and keep the asian stuff, improve the English one wherever possible (read: of course no FoW and duals, but also no Goyfs) and laugh at the pimp police.

Summer duals may not even exist in a complete playset. it would be unreasonable to think that anyone could even acquire a playset of 1 type of dual. Therefore I'm not sure why they were even mentioned. If I'm wrong about the scarcity let me know but I have been policing ebay for cards for a long time and I havent seen that many roll through there.Quote:

As I already said, foil onslautght polluteds are the next objective.
Also, about the Italian FBB discusion.. I think that Italian should be more pimp than German, as Italian was the first FBB version (you can see it in the tap symbol, Italian is the only language that still has the 'T'). And yes, I prefer Italian FBB than revised, even if it's in another language. The rest of the deck is 100% English.

kmc or ultra pro perfect fits have no warped my foils. I've had a foil polluted delta in a kmc for years and I took it out the other day to check and its as clean as the day it went in there. Ultra pro's seem to be the same although I havent had mine for as long.Quote:

Okay, I am 3 efreets away from a set, so anyone willing to help me out can do so, and we can post the most amazing faerie stompy deck ever. Or go old school and play serendib in a thresh-style deck. I don't have enough duals for that, though. There are definitely enough summer cards to create playsets, but a playset is tough to put together.
I've wondered if a full summer deck would be more expensive than a full test print deck. Assuming you don't play 40duals/4efreet/4hurricane/random restricted cards.dec, I actually think a deck full of test prints might win out.
Occam, the only way you're going to find meaning in all of this absurdity is by building these decks. Better get on it :P

Quick question, I am pimping one of my vintage decks. I don't like foil (only Goblins do). So I wanted to make it Korean signed or Russian signed. But not all cards are in those languages. Moxen are English, duals are FBB German (prefer this over beta). But what about the other cards? Would it look riddicolus to mix Korean and Russian? What about signed / non-signed? Some artist have told me they don't sign anymore (Adam Rex) or don't sign by mail (Kev Walker). Should I try to get whatever edition just as it is signed? Or go for unsigned Korean / Russian?
