So maybe a week ago (or perhaps longer) Ralf and I had a small discussion on BUG and I've been wanting to try out new Nissa pretty bad. At first I was against using it in Nic Fit, but I'm starting to come around on that point.
The basic outline for the deck is that you need about 20 creatures as hits for the zero ability, and if you assume wanting to zero after no more than one +2, then you want the CMC of your creatures to be 3 or less. This knocks out Rhinos, and Nissa knocks out the Nissa we usually play. Still we get a lot of CA like this:
23 Land
4
Verdant Catacombs4
Misty Rainforest2
Bayou1
Underground Sea1
Tropical Island1
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds2
Forest2
Island1
Swamp1
Bojuka Bog1
Dryad Arbor1
Phyrexian Tower1
Volrath's Stronghold1
Maze of Ith
19 Creatures
4
Veteran Explorer2
Deathrite Shaman3
Dark Confidant4
Baleful Strix4
Tireless Tracker1
Eternal Witness1
Courser of Kruphix
19 Spells
4
Cabal Therapy3
Green Sun's Zenith2
Crop Rotation2
Fatal Push2
Abrupt Decay2
Diabolic Edict2
Nissa, Sage of Elements2
Jace, the Mind Sculptor
All in all, this incorporates a few things I want to try. Nissa/Jace, Tracker/Oboro (which I really like with Crop Rotation and 4 Tracker... this might make a non BUG list of mine in the future), and still being low to the ground, focused on acceleration. I'm not convinced it's good, lacking the blue for FoW or enough removal. But I want to try it even though it suffers from the usual BUG problems.
