Nimble Mongoose has been around forever, so... no.

Straw mongoose is straw.
What time is the announcement usually released?
Midnight EST
*Fingers crossed* earth craft comes off and that scg squirrel tokens were the advanced warning.
EDIT: Tried to insert countdown but I suck at computers.
And then I can be done with this stupid thread for another few short months.

It won't be Earthcraft. They aren't going to give Combo Elves! any possible extra help. I'm thinking only one card will change, and it will be a Modern unban. Which card? *shrug*
Bitterblossom is randomly 35 and sold out on SCG. I predict that one
Wild Nacatl and Bitterblossom are just speculation candidates, thus the increase in price. MODO prices have a similiar development in the last few days. So no real conspiracy. SCG manipulating the market only shows when Paper prices increases don't have a counterpart in MODO.
There might be something coming of the Modern Banned list.
As for Legacy, I predict no changes this time (sadly).
Yeah I was just looking up the prices of possible unban candidates and that one popped out. I mean It may just be speculators buying them up, but who knows?
Sorcery speed effects:
Lava Spike - R - Lightning Bolt opponent's face
Delver - U - Suspend 1. Lightning Bolt opponent's face every turn
It's just way too aggressive a threat for such a cheap cost. Something that aggressive should only exist in Magic's most aggressive color, not in Magic's traditionally slowest stack interaction/card drawing color. It should not be able to singlehandedly outrace Goblin Guide, red's most aggressive 1-drop (Reckless Waif doesn't count because suck). If they had made the card either 2/2 flying in blue or 3/1 first strike trample in red, I think it would be perfectly balanced. But if blue has the best aggro and control and combo enablers, what's the point of lands that do not have type 'Island'?
Delver is a great argument for Black Vise's unbanning. T1 Vise used to be broken but T1 Delver ends up dealing even more damage most of the time. With Abrupt Decay and a faster format than 8 years ago, Vise isn't much harder to kill and is often easier to play around. Vise is only really a faster clock in some kind of combo, but Vise combo is inherently multi-turn-based and thus slower than other 2-card artifact combos (4 Horsemen/Painter's Stone) and not too broken.
IMO Legacy pillars were a lot more balanced when blue decks had to at least pretend to be other colors to achieve these effects:Quote:
1. Brainstorm -- card draw. blue
2. Delver -- undercosted aggressive flyer. black?
3. TNN -- dumb ground guy that turns sideways every turn. green?
4. Show & Tell -- cheat fatty into play. green/black?
2. Tombstalker
3. Tarmogoyf
4. Reanimate
A: Land, Vise
B: 3 damage to the face, land
A: Wasteland opponent/keep Stifle up
B: 3 damage to the face

Quite a solid, evasive damage output for 1 generic mana while totally raping control and being immune to common removal
