That's a good question. I hadn't thought about it. The judge gave me a deck check right before Top 8, and didn't mention anything, but it's quite possible that he didn't notice the Trop.

The sleeves are Opaque black, so as long as they aren't really open on the top to the point where you can make out distinguishing characteristics of the card, I assume it's all legal.
That, and I think most opponents would start getting suspicious if you were looking really closely at your deck from the top of it.
Even double-sleeved, I suspect you can probably feel the crimp through the sleeves. I'd avoid using it in sanctioned events if that's the case. Best to talk to the judge first either way.
I had a crimped Beta Mox for a long time and no one ever gave me any problems with it. I always asked about it before any tournaments started and they were always fine w it. It's probably more of a thing about what type of sleeves you use. I use KMC blues and those are pretty thick.
The seems like you should be able to feel it through the sleeve, though I guess it's harder if you're double-sleeving. On the other hand, though, I guess it would seem kind of suspicious to opponents if you're gently stroking the top end of cards in your library while playing.
Weird it would look, but if someone with the means to get a deck like that and wants to actively cheat with it...well they're probably running fetchlands so the deck can be in their hand first.
Double sleeving is generally the way to go. I'd go as far to say that something bent like an old foil can be double sleeved and generally pass muster.
Those are some nice duals. Damn.

True story: gentlemen give their opponent's Intuition piles the pimpest of three, unless it's a strategic singleton pile.
A friend of mine, in a Vintage game, had his opponent use a whitebordered Anthologies Strip Mine on his Beta Underground Sea. My friend called the judge to ask if that was even a legal play

You have to trust who you're lending stuff like that out to. I've let friends borrow Beta duals. Walking into a large tournament, with the rest of your deck pimped out and revised duals, I couldn't have them bear that kind of embarrassment.

Those basics are awesome. Same with the Wild Growths.
I just finished pimping High Tide, so I'll post the deck once the rest of the stuff arrives.
