So... why bother pimping a deck that uses city of traitors since it can't possibly be the "best" unless you're Occam or similar?
You can have awesome stuff, but then people will always say "you need to upgrade such and such to misscut crimped summer" or use your imagination.
Choose an aesthetic that you think is awesome, stick to it and decide to be in the camp that believe's pimp is in the eye of the beholder instead of what is strictly the most expensive.
Good luck!
QFT. That being said ... my Dreadnaughts are awesome.

You gave a friend Magic cards for a wedding present?
Suddenly, I feel a lot more strongly about getting married! ;)

On the other hand, his new wife will probably make him quit.
@hukstor: Gorgeous. I've been looking for foil Russion Loams for a while.

Go for the Focus, no contest.

No, you actually shit on anything that's not Japanese or Korean. Take a hint, seriously, you're easily one of the most negative people I have seen posting on these threads. Arrogant, almost.

Spending a ton of money on overpriced Japanese foils does not make you more knowledgeable, fyi. I've been around too. They are rare, hard to find, and yes I was "overexcited" when I received my package back from Ms. Jones, with way more cards than I originally sent.
To me, contacting and actually talking to artists, especially the obscure ones, is an experience in itself. It's very interesting to me.
Likewise, I have collected Portuguese foils for years. Nobody really cares about it, but the hunt is fun. I respect that people's definition of what is cool varies a lot. I don't see the allure of Japanese Foil (and now Russian), but I respect the time people take tracking down what they would love to have. You, on the other hand, have a very narrow vision of what something cool is.

because i see that for some people, are more pimp russian-japanese not foil, than foil eng(or other european language)
best regards
Whatever you feel is cool. If it was me, and if I were doing a full most-expensive-japanese version deck, I'd Japanese where available, Foil Japanese where available, and Beta the rest.
@hukstor: Awesome set!
Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Example: I've been playing Magic for quite some time. I've seen a ton of Foil Jap Golgari Thugs ... I've never seen a signed Stasis. It was pretty sweet to see one. That being said, when somebody posts a foil jap dredge deck I don't crap on them. I just ... say nothing.

I think that it is a combination of differing cultures (italy v america/canada) and english as a second language (I assume) that makes his posts abrasive. Pretty much every 5 pages someone has to bring up the fact that pimping is subjective, beat those dead horses.

On this topic: As an inside joke for a friend's(psu42) wedding, we(myself, RocketRae21 and the other groomsman) all signed a foil Skizzik and gave it to him on his wedding day. We also stayed up all night in the hotel room lobby cube drafting.
On the topic of the thread: German Dreadnoughts are awesome! Also, with all that Russian stuff earlier, I've yet to see a Russian Goyf, anyone have one?
Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
I don't have one, but I've seen a decent number of them.

More common then you think, I'm giving a buddy a 4th edition set for a present at his bachelor party this summer. Ive known him since grade school when we use to go to the variety store and crack packs over lunch.

Look. My entire deck building pool is nowadays German/English(/French/Italian) non foil and I generally never hated on anyone for not going foil / jap foil / kor / whatever. Your core statements are far fetched and simply wrong which leaves me stunned. I dislike non artist altered cards and edition wise mixed up playsets though but this is only personal matter I rarely expressed here. My arguments here resulted out of picking up opportunities to rant and a lot of butthurt on different sides. I do not want to go back to that point.
If you want to waste your time - try to proof the opposite.
Take the following as a hint. Try to act less like a lifeless prick who picks up opportunities on the internet to argue with people from around the globe for nothing. I got it at some point in the past and you might also be able to get it. Also I am pretty sure that (nearly) none gives a fuck on your boring pointless tales.

Back to topic ... I got something nice today.

Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
Those Seas are amazing oRen! It's a pity that they were signed in silver instead of black sharpie though. Probably they were altered and signed in two different occasions. Lovely set anyways.

Actually, she's gone to a couple tournaments with him. We've gotten her to like playing Eva Green/Junk, too.
Also, we got him a Magic-themed birthday cake. The store fucked it up--it was supposed to be an edible card (which you wouldn't think would be so difficult)--but here it is, since the browser's broken already;

No offense meant, hukstor; that Goyf is phenomenal.
EDIT: sorry for the goof, kids. (Bonus; turns out the pic fits the screen now, too.)

Thanks a lot. I hope we can leave our past disputes behind. I bought it privately out of 1st hand from a Spanish guy and I am pretty sure that he wanted the set to be this way. I am looking forward to meeting R. Alexander and getting it signed in black and altered (multi colored would be insane!) furthermore. To me it "hurts" more that the set is not in one language ... but anyone always greatly overpays for "perfect" cards or sets so I am more than happy with what I got.

Very nice cake :)

I've seen some interesting 2 tones alterations made by Alexander (the most common colour combination was black and white). I think some colour addition would make that set even more cool.Regarding the language question, I noticed it, but when you menage to get such a nice set the language is secondary imho.

Of course.
Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
waitaminute... Tapmoron? seriously?!? I wanted Russian goyfs for my deck anyway, but they're Tapmorons?
Re: [Bragging] Pimp Legacy Decks
I guess if you turn non-English script into English script, sure, I guess. I'd say that's pretty loose, though.
