maybe its time to contribute once...
nothing too fancy (II.) ...but still you do not see that every day

+question - with Dark Rituals would you go Beta or Korean? (not considering rest of the deck, just cards) Alpha>>>rest but those are impossible to get in nice condition
korean 5th, since there´s no wb version of korean 4th
Bits and pieces of my Reanimator with Chinese Animate Deads (they're not for sale though)..

I'd go with foil Masques if you enjoy foil (in whichever language you approve of most), or Korean Urza's Saga if you don't prefer foil. I can't stand the judge promo ones.
I can totally respect the Beta thing though (I loved my Beta, but I couldn't afford more and traded it). Maybe hit up some of the serious BB ballers on here (dahcmai and sdematt would be my first guesses) and see if they can route you to Alphas--if that's where your heart is, go for it.
I play Eva Green and Pox almost exclusively, so Rits are a big deal to me. To wit;

Not foil, but as a grad student, I have to conform my pimp hand to my wallet, and for a buck at PT-San Diego 2010 I could not pass them up.

I played those babies for about two years now, but I only had three of them signed. So I ordered a playset of japanese 4th bb just two days ago...
Too bad, since I really love Rebecca Guay as an artist
If anybody is interested in a playset of japanese exc. MM Rituals with three of them signed give me a message ;)
In the future when doing the light test, turn the card arround so the back is facing you and also you should do it in a darker room.
I am always doing the light test on all older cards I acquire along with carefully inspection with a loupe. Don't forget to examine the edges and corners as well with the loupe.
I don't what so ever do the bend test. I strongly object to this test since it could destroy real beta cards as well.
The above tests are more than enough to discover fake cards if you are into it and know what you are doing. During my years of collecting, I have stumbled upon very good fakes, especially one Beta Black Lotus. It was almost perfect but I discovered it. In this case it was a store and I got a full refund. But be aware all. There are more fakes out there than you might expect!
Edit: One thing that is also important to understand is that older cards (Beta etc) could differ in brightness, allignment etc even though it is a real card. The printing technique back then was not as great as it is today!
Long time no see!

Holy fuck, Tron.
A giant package of Russian pimp came in the mail for me today. Russian Jaces, Green Sun's Zeniths, Thopter tokens, etc.
I'll post it when I'm not studying for a midterm :P

Obviously very nice but how come you sold those very old marvel ones (those must have been 1st or 2nd altering season?) and get those no that much time afterward? You just like Tron a lot? I would appreciate some more background information.
You can not really ask someone who just told you that some of his higher end cards are rebacked to crossbend them 15 times to proof any point.
They were flexible to the point I played around with them, had decent looking edges + Alpha corners and passed the light test quite well.
He told me they were about +0,05g compared to a regular Beta card.
But yeah ... you are right for sure ... no reback will survive crossbending it 10+ times ...
Holy fuck those force's are absolutely incredible Pizzero. Like when I saw them my jaw literally dropped to the floor in .2 seconds.
I would go with beta/alpha over korean dark rit's personally. There's nothing quite like alpha and beta, I have korean dark rit's from saga and tempest and I infinitely prefer alpha/beta's to those. I do like my foil masques playset though (1 italian, 3 english). I second the notion that judge dark ritual's are hideous, I can't stand the art on it and everything about the card in judge form is just wrong.
Why settle for only one?

I do still have a soft spot for Masques rituals though.
Hi all. Here's my share. I took this picture for my Child of Alara EDH deckand at the same time, am using the duals for my Legacy decks. Not much on foils now just looking at Japanese cards more or less. Will try to post more soon. Enjoy.

I would imagine not a whole lot, like less than $8.
On a price related note, I've had this for quite some time now, can someone give me an estimated value?
