Confirmed. His words are even in red.

I personally don't bother boarding 1-of's for their 1-of's, not unless it's useful in other situations. If they manage to resolve that card, I'd rather answer it with 2 or 3 angels anyhow, and I don't think the Ponder versions even leave in both Entreat. Entreat and EE seem like better ways to hedge.
I think Joe used to leave in creature removal in the mirrors, maybe that's why he would reference "sideboarding properly". Used to enjoy watching his replays until he started with the music and the entire thing got muted. I'm not sure what determines which portions get muted, but it's the worst I've ever seen on Twitch (read: please fix so I can resume watching ).

Anything copyrighted gets muted on Twitch. That's why they recently introduced "whitelisted" music that will not be muted. It's also the reason why I switched from my 90's Rock/Pop playlist to some free online radio so my twitch and youtube videos won't get muted.

Yeah, I noticed you have no muting on your video with Einherjer. Would a Spotify or Pandora stream be muted?

Don't forget to check out this podcast over on EverydayEternal, if you haven't already. :)

EE seems like a terrible way to answer mentor.

Joe has been boarding out all plows and terminus in the mirror for as long as he has been streaming.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Mentor's just a 2/2, you can block and kill it or bounce and counter. The problem is the 1/1's it leaves behind, which explosives can trade with once the Mentor's gone.
Joe used to leave in 1 or 2 removal spells for his opponent's Snapcasters and Cliques. I remember him asking a long time ago if people didn't think it was greedy to board out all their Terminus and Swords.

They're for his tokens.. with Academy Ruins it just shuts down all Miracle WC but Jace (for which we have 3x Vendilion Clique and 3 REBs + Snapmage)

It's you and Tomas! Bonus! I'll be listening on my drive home from work =P
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
In the matchups where I want DTT and RIP, I should err to DTT right? For example, ANT and RUG. Assume 4-Ponder list.
I guess the rationale behind this is something like DTT is just so powerful that it will find me answers that could equivalently take care of the cards RIP could.

These represent some of the exact reasons Relic is probably better than RiP in current Dig builds IMO. I just don't think people have really revisited the RiPs in their lists since a lot of the changes.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
So that decklist that won GP Kyoto that had 2x Wasteland (as well as the 2nd place list with 4x Mentor and 2x SFM and 3x Daze)...
Maybe it's a meta thing? I can't see either list doing too hot against a field of Delver and fast combo (here in the US).
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Second place was UW Stoneblade with some Terminus. I have considered Wasteland before now, but always opted against it.

The champion is a veteran with 3 GP victories, the wastelands are meta choice. Omnitell is very popular in Japan. Wasting sol land or dual(for R or B splash in sideboard) is sweet.

maybe because of the boseiju played in omnitel

the wasteland target is boseiju! its clearly a meta call, but with double karakas, double wasteland and 4 counterbalance 2 counterspell...its a super gridy mana base
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Congrats to Yuuta Takahashi with his Ponder-Omni-tell-hated Miracles.
You can read his decklist here: http://magic.wizards.com/en/events/c...sts-2015-04-19
Sure, Wasteland and MD Clique could be for Omni-tell meta hate. The 3 Ponders though, that's what we (or at least I) have been saying: You can run Ponders in Legend build. The 3 StP + 1 Blast, that could also be attributed to Omni-tell, but..., in an almost 2,000 players tournament, kinda make sense.
This list feels like the best of both worlds (Legend and Ponder builds) to me.
If Omni-tell becomes dominant in the U.S., Legend Miracles will become more and more attractive. Actually SCG Providence has 5 Omni-tell in the Top 16, it's happening!

You are right, I forgot it. MD 1 Boseiju is mentioned as "Japanese style" in some older treads on Source.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Hey guys, I just bought into Miracles! I'm starting off with 4 Ponder- 3 Dig Through Time version to get my feet wet. I have some idea of how to play the deck from watching a bunch of legacy and Joe's stream, but I'm sure that I will get plenty of draws during my first few tournament. Any advice on how to tighten up play to keep from getting draws? Decisions that are more important than others? Simple stuff that new miracles players tank on for too long? Etc.
Also, here's my starting list for your critique:
4 Flooded Strand
4 Scalding Tarn
2 Arid Mesa
3 Tundra
3 Volcanic Island
4 Island
2 Plains
4 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Counterbalance
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
3 Dig Through Time
2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
4 Force of Will
2 Counterspell
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Terminus
1 Council's Judgment
2 Entreat the Angels
Board
2 Meddling Mage
1 Containment Priest
2 Relic of Progenitus
2 Blood Moon
1 Flusterstorm
1 Vendillion Clique
2 Pyroblast
1 Red Elemental Blast
1 Pyroclasm
1 Pithing Needle
1 Wear/Tear
Anyways, I appreciate your help!
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
i'd suggest listening to these two podcasts, especially the first one:
http://everydayeternalpodcast.com/ep...7-miracle-men/
http://www.thebrainstormshow.com/unc...-004-miracles/
as for suggestions about avoiding draws, you'll hear phillip et al talk about how long it should take you to resolve activating SDT, and you'll notice that it takes them only a second or two. this is what you really need to work on, decreasing your top activations from 30 seconds down to 5 seconds. this isn't a hard and fast rule, but the quicker you get with top, the less often you will find yourself in turns. the first step for me was spending the duration of my opponent's turn thinking about what i actually wanted to find if i was looking at a fresh top three cards. specifically, what would i want to draw, and what would i want on top of my deck after my draw step (especially if i have a counterbalance in play). as you spend more time with the deck, this will become a lot more instinctive.
edit: also, i'd suggest finding room for another vendilion clique in your list. i'd certainly want the second clique before i had any meddling mages in my sideboard.
