thats really strange, i was sure with 8 stiffle effects, 8 ways to get lotus and 16 accel you'll be able go

Lotus + LP/Mox + Stifle
Lotus + LP/Mox + SSG/ESG + Trickbind
Forest + Crop Rotation + LP/Mox + Stiffle
Forest + Crop Rotation + LP/Mox + SSG/ESG + Trickbind

with a higher that 25% chance?? Till i do my own goldfishing, ill reserve judgement, but 25% is disheartening,

math sucked but yeah it supposed be around 23.05% of getting lotus into play turn 1 on the play and 30% on the draw...no muliganing.

I think it won't work because the lotus is not in play when the trigger happens.

Assuming the most recent wording is correct, it is in play and the trick works. You're more likely to pull it off with Snap or Vial -> Cloud of Faeries, though.

Ok, so now we need to build a Turnabout+Snap+Lotus combo deck?

Cool.

At least you can pitch both cards (Turnabout and Snap) to FoW.

I'd expect it to degenerate into Solidarity/High Tide pretty quickly.

I find it amusing that the shroud on this land is actually going to make it harder to use, and therefor weaker. Whether or not they did that on purpose, I find it a far more interesting scenario than if you could simply use Candelabra or something simple like that.

So if Turnabout is possible, so must Reset.

Only if you can play the land at instant speed during your opponent's turn.

I really don't think this will help solidarity/spring tide against counterbalance at all, or even speed it up. To abuse this I think we need something to take advantage of a really high casting cost enabler (no counterbalance) like tooth and nail, or just drop ridiculous fatties off it.

Yeah, Reset won't work that well. You need Snap or Turnabout to combo during your main phase when you can actually play lands.

Reset will only work if you crop rotation the lotus into play on your opponents turn, and then play reset in response to the sac trigger.

Crop Rotation in response to them playing a spell and then rewinding that spell still in response to the sac trigger i think will also work?

and of course Vial --> Cloud of Faeries, whenever you get a lotus into play

But your right this looks like the makings of either a really bad version of Solidarity/High Tide/Spring Tide or perhaps a better? version? Im not sure....

This looks like a card that someone created and posted on MTGSalvation himself claiming he somehow got his hands on the card/information. I mean seriously, he created the card then one of his friends mentioned Wasteland would own his card and he slapped shroud on it. I would be surprised to find out this is the best Wizards can come up with, but you never know. Otherwise I do actually suspect this card to make waves.

That said, until it was made Stifleable, I thought this was a really well designed card.

Pity. I liked the card. It would have been worth consideration in Legacy, interesting in Standard (as long as they paid attention not to print Stifle effects), and very powerful in Extended (less so after Stifle rotates out in the fall, though). Putting Shroud on it to prevent both unfun Stone Rains and most untap effects was also quite smart.

Still though, I'm fairly happy if this isn't a real card.

I'm happy with it being fake because the card was extremely narrow and the few uses it had weren't worth it.

To be fair... Evan Erwin doesn't work for Wizards, and he might very well just be saying this as a joke.

Especially since he didn't mention how he learned it was fake.

Not that I want to believe this card (or don't... I think the card mechanics itself are very plausible, while the flavor is frankly weird (Golden Lotus definitely doesn't sound like a land, but it may be bad translation...)), but seriously, do not claim the words "confirmed" (be it fake or real ) when it's all but confirmed either way.

I bet this card is real, and this below will be his image.
