I was mostly responding to you calling it a "rather rare signature" which it obviously is not anymore. I lost nothing and simply don't like things being overly monetized and I have been around long enough to remember other times. Fake signatures have been popping up, especially Hoover and Tim Hildebrandt. Recently people started buying up all the Susan van Camp signed Hymns which used to be pretty cheap on MKM anticipating her biting the dust soon. There is only very few cards left which are hard to get signed, everything else is just a matter of money. There is a bunch of other stuff that goes along with people trying to get every possible cent out of it. I can do without doodles on my cards so whatever.
The Island is pretty sweet.

Also, I don't think I've posted this yet, my only decent Island.
Here, have some jelly.

Still a nice NFC, considering the shit people are cutting now.

How can you tell when cards aren't factory cut? Is there a sign or is it just sloppy corners/edges?

No, the cuts these days are usually done by professionals. I know that a foreign bb french sheet was cut, though, making it less likely that this wasn't nfc.

Here in Toronto they were sticking together for everyone who used them. Maybe you play in a store that has decent air conditioning but our store was nearly 80F indoors (on a good day) and ungodly humid.

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
YMMV absolutely but from my experience down here in Austraya the Dragonshields tend to stick together like boiling fettuccine.
KMC Hyper Mattes have always worked well for me.
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Use standard Dragon Shields myself (Also Australia) and find that they mostly only stick if I have put them on a damp surface. They kind of clump together when I pull them from the box, but once you shuffle, no issue for me. Use to run Ultra Pro's, fuck that shit. I am rough as fuck with my sleeves and the DS's don't split on me. Stand by them until I find something I am willing to resleeve my collection in.

The non-matte Dragonshields work great as long as you don't have sweaty hands. My hands are pretty dry so they're great for me.

In those pressure situations though, mom's spaghetti and all that. I just think the matte surface is more textured and therefore makes it less clingy than a non-matte surface.

Hello guys,
Due to brainstorm, I'll have some cards White Bordered (korean brainstorm) so should I take Dark Ritual 4th BB or Vth edition (WB). BB is better (and original art) but, in this case, the korean Vth edition is rarer and I'll have anyway some WB cards in my deck, so ?
ps : The hunt was good, I found a playset of korean brainstorm, I'll post pictures when I'll receive them.

I really can't stand the 5th edition art, so my preference is definitely 4th. I strongly believe that the only two acceptable Dark Ritual arts are the original and the Mercadian Masques. Sorry, Urza's Saga fans, you're wrong.

Don't apologize for being right, they take it as a sign of weakness

More Korean lands for the collection. Stoked to pick up more islands.

Let me be the first one to congratulate you one making the correct choice. WB Korean 5th FTW.

"If there is such a thing as too much power, I have not discovered it."
Tempest and Alpha are the greatest. Just depends on my mood. Alpha if I'm casting Juzams, Hippies and Black Knights ... Tempest if I'm doing degenerate things with black mana. Masques is acceptable if you spank it to foils.

No love for Mirage?
I have german Mirage DR, since they fit to the Shallow Graves and Entombs.

My current TA, the duals are not finished yet and there are no MM Foil BS but I'm quite proud of it. I'm not sure about the foil bobs, I switch between the old one and the Promo because I have both.
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Really nice cards!
About the confidants, both are nice, I have the promo ones because I love foil old border cards, but the ravnica one is also cool.
I'm always wondering why so many people play M10 ponders, Tedin's ponder is amazing!
Why do you play those foil hymns, but play alliances fows? It doesn't make much sense. And I guess the Sylvan Library will turn into Legends some day
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Sweet deck. I'd go with normal bobs over promos just so all the creatures have the new border, but I know everyone here likes the old border more (I like the new border but whatever).
To the guy above, I'd never begrudge anyone for not having foil FoW's in their otherwise all pimp deck just because they're stupid expensive, far more than any other card there.
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Random question, are there any ungraded Summer duals? Or have all of them been shipped off to BGS?
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
there are quite some ungraded summer duals floating around..
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Check Facebook groups, think I've seen a couple on the high-end group but I may be thinking of something else

I play the M10 Ponder because from the day the Lorwyn Ponder got printed I found the artwork super ugly  But yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Same reason for the promo FoW, even if I were willing to pay 650-700€ for the promo there is still the ugly picture. If they had printed the old artwork I would maybe work getting those, but as the reality looks different-> No thx.
The Hoover Hymn has a better picture but isnt foil and I like the new artwork too, so I play them. Working on getting them signed.
The signed legends Library will be coming for sure, I had to buy the 2 Lilis currently but hey german black boarded is not that bad

Thanks for answering. I understand the alliances fows, I don't like the judge promos. It's just that I would play hoover's hymn unless the whole deck was foil (when possible), and seeing that fows are alliances I would have no doubt. BTW, I think Staples signed a few weeks ago in England, check some signing facebook groups in case you are looking for hard to find signatures.
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
The Staples signing is happening in ~2-3 weeks. Check "Givememana's Signed Magic the Gathering cards" on FB for details.

I have a bunch of desiccant packs from electronics that I throw in my boxes with foils. That, along with tight packing, tends to keep them flat
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
desiccant is a very good way to prevent it, but once they have bend i found it close to impossible to un-bend them.
I had some foils pressed by a lot of weight, inside a book for a few days, but that barely worked.... once the foil metal-ish layer has deformed, you cant really re-form it...
-

The curving is due to humidity, so id assume if you store your cards with silica gel packs it would help.

Is that the altered U-Sea that`s on MKM.eu right now, or is it just identical?

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
i might have missed the discussion on this but why are the new foil fetch lands considered full art and thus demand a huge premium? They seem to have about the same picture as a regular card with a minimally transparent text box that still obstructs the image? I don't own any and maybe in person the image is better but pictures sure don't do them justice.
you could say that that foil JTMS pictured above is about as full art as the scalding tarn but i've never heard of jace referred to as full art... Maybe this is just WOTC shenanigans?
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Expedition lands are better in person though I was as skeptical as you at first. I personally own 42 of those and work hard to get 100. However, it's quite hard to get them at a bargain price.
-
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
They're all hype. Can't hold a candle to even Judge fetches, much less ONS ones.

All three are Italian? Why would you possibly buy german tundra's and italian volcs? Makes literally zero sense, if you already are going for looks.

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
i would onestly feel bad about a board with 2 FBB Volcs and FBB tundra and a Nutella glitter fetch, but who am i to talk, i play khans polluted because i like the art
