Hands down, that's one of the most interesting decks posted in quite a while. Props for Chinese and props for the obvious dedication.

While the basics looks nice, i can't help but cringe that eli cassis is destroying the misprint market for true misprints.

I plan to get almost every card altered eventually, so if anyone has any alter ideas, let me know!

When this deck is completely 100% chinese foil and altered, i'll probably work on simplify chinese foiling a vintage deck, career and/or future wife permitting :P

FWIW, a bunch of people bitched on Twitter when some of his were on stream at some big event (GP Seattle?) and a bunch of WotC employees got in on the conversation. As to whether that'll do anything, who knows.

Im looking at picking up a beta mox thats crimped on the bottom from the pack. Thoughts on crimps? Anyone had a problem in a tournament on a crimped card not being allowed?

I don't like crimps if only because they're impossible to even pretend to verify. Unless you open it in a pack, you have no way to know whether that crimp is from the pack or from a dude with some pliers. At least with mis-cuts, the people selling NFCs tend to be obvious or just admit it.

Just ordered a bunch of Beta duals from hareruyamtg.com. Their store is located in Japan but their prices are comparable to the 3 biggest retailers in the US. The duals they have in stock were in excellent-near mint condition so I took advantage. Will post an update once I complete the project in a couple of weeks.

I might get rid of a couple of German FBB duals, they're in mint condition, what exactly are you looking for?

As long as it's double sleeved with opaque sleeves, you can prolly get away with it. There's a non-zero chance that it gets noticed on a deck check.

It's probably worth getting thrown out of a tournament for crimped beta power

They're not really cards. They're cut into the shape of real Magic cards, but they never came in a real booster pack or starter deck or like every other real card people use.

To each his own. I bought a Miscut Badlands from him for the price of a blue dual. It's absolutely gorgeous, I love it. You prolly have seen it here. Although, the corners can use a little improvement. If the guys cutting these were smarter, they'd use a 2mm heavy-duty corner cutter. The corners will then be perfection. In case they see this post and their quality improves in the future, I deserve credit.

Because they're real cards? And while in sleeves, you couldn't tell the difference between FC and NFC. Unless the card was done confusing as fuck, there's zero reason why L2's wouldn't allow them. Having said that, I'm still not a fan of the 4-way miscuts with a big cross in the middle.

How do you explain prerelease promos (the older ones, not from the prerelease packs over the las few years), release promos, game days, buy a box, judge promos, MPR promos, gateway promos, apac lands, euro lands, certain test prints, etc being perfectly legal for play. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with them, but they are at least interesting and would be a lot of fun to play against a deck full of them (as I have a few times).
