I didn't know there really was a demand for certain signatures before. I've seen a signed Mystical before, but I don't collect sigs so I didn't think much of it at the time. Guess I should track that down again if it's pretty rare.
Just out of curiosity, which ones should I keep a lookout for? I go through a lot of cards and I tend not to keep signed ones.
Among signed cards collectors there are 3 types of artists...
the guys/girls we can send cards to and they return them within 2 - 4 weeks signed without a problem.
The ones that only sign at tournamenets
and the ones that don't sign (anymore)...
If you find one from the third section you might hit the jackpot...
Here are some of the rarest (with cool cards)
Una Fricker (Wasteland)
Gary Leach (Vampiric Tutor)
David O'Connor (Mystical Tutor)
Kev Walker (dozens of really nice cards)
Greg Staples (dozens of really nice cards)
Daniel Gelon (Wheel of Fortune)
Drew Tucker (Mr. Plateau)
@jamesh: Thanks god for people not realizing they have signed card gems ..If sigs becam as popular as foil korean/Russian/Japanese the artists would stop doing this service for us and we'd get crazy limits at tournaments (only 5 cards per person and so on).
Well ... Time to start forging mystical tutors and getting workshops i guess.
Drew Tucker teaches art at a community college about 25 miles from here. We got him to come and sign stuff for our local con back in the spring, and I got him to doodle a big composite sketch on the back of 12 proofs. It's pretty sweet.
O_o
Greg Staples doesn't sign anymore? I swear he was at a lot of LA shows back in 1999 era. That's a shame - his signature is actually really nice too.
Hi Pimpers =)

Will come later :)
Oh shit, wished i got a grandma to get one of these tablecloths as well. :P
The jace is real hot. How many "month" u needed to take this?
Hi,
Well didn't even take that long :D
I will now build a vintage Deck =D
But I will downgrade my beta lotus to unl :D
By the way, the jace was not even that hard to find.
Russian Foils were the hardest cards to find :D
I really like that sheoldred, as Im playing only Casual EDH with Sharuum as Commander

today was not a good day, no... :-/
....man, it was freakin insane! i cant remember a day where i got so much really nice stuff, and the stuff on the photo isnt even all of it, just a nice assortment!
been looking for the claims for almost 10months now, they were harder to find than my first playset of russian dark confidants, the mysticals practically took years and the one giant deal that included them went on for almost 5 months, but now they are here together with some cool other stuff. sadly not all the cool stuff i wanted because i ran out of money^^
the yawgmoths will is t-chinese and altered by ron spencer in 2005. the details are amazing! the card itself is also in nm/nm- condition! now my japanese double signed one will be sold since i can replace it with this one here ;-)
the russian dark confidant is foil, but it practically doesnt show on the photo. the elesh norn was a nice throw in for a very good price! it is nothing so special and it does not mean so much to me, but to have a nice assortment of cards for the picture i included it :-)
i was pretty worried about the russian cards, because the tracking status remained unchanged for 6weeks and i was freaking out that they had been lost,...i had almost given up on them! now they are finally here and are great additions to my ru foil collection^^
some other nice stuff came along today too, but for more bragging i will show it when some of my alpha power arrives. the power will be nothing against some of the other stuff =)
...and i also sold my currently last japanese foil jace 2.0 a few hours ago, so i´m not totally broke right now.
....A REALLY GOOD DAY, MAN, I´M SO HAPPY =) =) =)
(sorry for being childish, but i just find no other words than these for my happiness)
here we go:

(i dont know how to watermark a paint photo so i just placed 5x my username on here, doing this now on high value stuff because i had found stuff sold with my scans and i dont like it)
@ dernstor86: what's all the fuss about german Mysticals? I don't get it, they are everwhere? Or am i missing something here (probably)
Wow. That's actually a bit more than I was expecting. I guess like you mentioned, you'd only seen two of them, so rare = more expensive.
Another signed card related question. Where do artist proofs fit in the spectrum of signed card collecting? Do they not count because they aren't cards, or is it a totally different area of collecting?
Are there artist proofs that are the equivalent of the singed Mystical Tutor?
Is there a general "going rate" for artist proofs?
