(my fiancee is btw totally okay with me buying expensive magic cards, it's my money after all. So no "wife pressure" into selling cards here at all.
But I'll have to be able to provide my own 50% of the costs regardless :wink: )
Anyway; a big pity they started making the textboxes so crowded after Unlimited, resulting in FBB looking so much worse than Beta in general (in addition maybe to colors, not as broad a border or whatever other uglifications they invented in 1994 :tongue: ).
I don't care for foils at all, but some ancient bordered cards do make my heart go faster!

Not really anything too fancy there as I like to keep it simple and clean, but I wanted to share this deck here as I take this pile of old school beauty for a last spin tonight.
I'm downgrading my Beta duals to those fugly German FBBs to pay for my wedding next year, so I'm 0% regretting having to do this, but it's still the most aesthetic deck I'll ever have built imho so it's still gonna hurt inside :smile:
I'll help with that downgrade. I'd like to get up to two playsets of Beta Bayou if I can so I don't have to switch between decks.

My first post in this thread, please be gentle! Got the final dual land (UGC) today in the mail so deck should be finally finished. Won't be gettin foil FOWs as they are horrible nor Lorwyn foil ponders.

I think it's very ugly when people mix fnm promos, expeditions, old foil, new foil, judge promos, gp promos, etc when there are other ways also it's beautiful and the most important it you like it.

Thanks! I've seen the EMA foils live and didn't like them, nice arteork ruined by M15 frame and a hologram. So comparing the signed originals to the not so horrible as the EMA version Judge FOWs I'm gonna stick with the originals.
On the of case the Vendilion Clique, I like both the Judge promo art and the original a lot but the judge version available to me for a good price. The DCI stamp is horrible I know. Thankfully there weren't much Miracles in my meta so I haven't played the card a lot.

I actually like the the MM15 Art the most and that's what I am currently playing. Yeah it has the worse frame and sticker but I just like it.

Appreciate it! Especially at the time when I started, conspiracy or eternal masters had not been announced. There were just too many cards with no foil version (at the time), so JPN was the way to go.

I don't want to start an argument, but claiming that going jap non foil is the best way of pimping is an insult to those actually going full pimp.
And I think that land deck is beautiful for example, but claiming that non foil jap is even on the same page as full foil rus/misprint and even just full foil jap is nonsense.
Pimp, in a way, has to be linked with the actual cost of a deck, and that lands costs less than getting 4 foil jap ports...

Ok first of all, saying Jap is insulting. Stick to JPN or Japanese instead.
I must agree that the very high end Foil, bèta and misprint is true pimp. More Pimp is more expensive.
Unfortunatly i have had very bad experiences with Foil card in compative environment causing game losses etc. So i decided long ago to sell the crap and 'stylize' my favorite decks rather then pimping them and buy NON-foil JPN (signed/altered).
Morale of the story is that i like to call my NON-foil JPN decks 'styled' rather then pimped. Or Maybe it is just budget pimp. Whatever. Please Keep on posting beautiful cards and decks and stop bitching.
