Got 2nd in a recent tournament playing UR Dreadstill. Lost to RGW zoo deck in finals. Happy with my new playset of FoW!
Soon I'll be looking to making my 2nd legacy deck. I wonder what I'll make.

I really don't like that he's comparing it to Hulk-Flash. If this GP gets Dreadnought banned, I'll cry.
I wonder what made him shy away from the Urg version (other than red's recent success). Tarmogoyf and Krosan grip have always been huge for me. I guess that part really just boils down to playstyle though. Plus, the green version has the added juice of having EE go all the way up to three.
All i can say is awesome! I hope that dude destroys Worlds with Dreadstill, looks like he's running my list from what i could see.
Also the banning of Dreadnought I think would be very stupid tbh, I would think Goyf would go before Dreadnought..considering how much easier it is to answer Dreadnought.
Well duh, "They were in the decklist, and I guess they answer a lot of stuff."
I agree on the video, that was a really good piece of legacy PR. As much as I hate to see netdecks, this could be amazing for not only legacy control but the format as a whole.
And dreadnaught won't get banned. It's a two card combo where one of the cards sucks by it'self, nets -1 CA and doesn't (exactly) win you the game right then and there. Ad Nauseam before Goyf and Goyf before naught.
That was very enjoyable. Cheon clearly had no idea what he was doing xcept choosing pretty much the best dec out there. Sounds like mad props to Roodmistah from him.
Bounce + counter it when recasted.
Bounce tokens.
Save Dreadnought?
Bounce before Standstill.
Bounce Stalker if doesn't have mana/cards in graveyard enough to recast it.
Good CC.
There's many reason why I think it's good. On my 4c version, i Just prefer Swords and Grip, but on a Ur list, it's good.

Enigma list is fairly accurate but missing a few things.
White Stax.dec (which was pretty popular in MA for a while)
Humility.
Basically its just a really versatile card that pitch to FOW and Pseudo fills the role of Krosan Grip with making you butcher your mana base and add green.
Don't know why I didn't think to White stax because when I used to play UGR only, I had E.T. MD and it was pretty useful against stax.
I thought to something else: Bouncing a permanent with counters, to empty it, is pretty good such as doin' it on Crusher or Ravager.

E-truth...I had 3 in my sideboard for quite some time...the card is incredible versatile and potent.
Main uses:
-Tombcaveskuller
-Stax Decks
-Enchantress decks
-Landstill/Humility.deck
-Formerly TES now Belcher
-Bouncing a permanent once CB has reached the table
-Mirror
-AggroLoam
-MUC
I could keep going on but those are a few reasons.
How often do you actually find yourself bouncing multiple permanents with Echoing Truth? It seems like Wipe Away might be a better option, especially in the mirror.
Hi everyong,
I'm pretty used to play 4c Dreadstill on a heavy aggro meta. On the next tournament I'll go, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of control decks:
4c Landstill
UWb Cunning landstill
UWG ThreshThreshThreshThreshThreshThreshThreshThresh
Team America
Dreadstill
Faeries
White Stax
Epic painter
Other deck I guess will be there: ANT, Endless belcher and Death & Taxes
I doubt my 4c build is optimal for this meta. What you guys think about it? Which splash would be the best against this metagame? I'm completly opened to anything.
Things I considere:
-If I want to play dreadnought, it has to be really well back-up'd. So it's really necessary to add 3 Spell snare.
-Tarmogoyf is good, but against a heavy goyf meta, is Jotun Grunt would be a good idea?
-Is Meddling mage worth something against control decks?
-I think the red splash is a really good idea because of REB.
...
PS: Whatever it is, UGW, UGR, UR, UWR, UW... I want to know your thoughts about it.
PM
I'm just gonna lump sum answer your questions: No I don't think 4c is Ideal, Jotun Grunt is NEVER better than Tarmogoyf, just don't run him. Meddling Mage is decent but there aren't many cards that you'd actually want to shut off after Krosan Grip, Ugr or Ur is probably best. REB is ridiculous.
When I was playing UGr in an aggro metagame, I was playing Echoing Truth MD instead of Spell Snare. I tested the same list yesterday with Spell snare and against control, it's just really better. As for the Sideboard, I might go with that:
3x Blue elemental blast
3x Red elemental blast
3x Krosan Grip
2x Firespout
3x Tormod's crypt
1x Pithing Needle or 1 Ancient Grudge
I like Grudge against non-control decks because It avoids CotV @ 1 and it kills 2 artifacts, so against White stax, it's just awesome.
So pretty sure I'll go UGr

Why do you guys play as few as 1-2 Needle? They seem really essential to fight Deed and EE. The last thing you want, is being 2-for-1'ed with a Deed or EE at 1 on your Dreadnought.
To state the obvious: You do have 5-6 stifle effects MD and Trinket Mage can grab it.
In my experience deed hasn't been that much a problem because manlands are secondary slow kill which you get to decide when they are creatures, Trinket Mage gets you an artifact so his job is done with tutoring. The 3 things you may lose are: Dreadnaughts, CB, and a creature( Dreadnaught, Meddling Mage, etc.) All that said you have 4 FOW, a possiblity of CBing deed, Grip or EE when playing Green/3Colors.
Is another needle a good idea in the board? It depends on your meta. I can tell you, you better have an answer to tombstalker otherwise you will get pwnd (Echoing Truth).
