According to google translate, the red letters mean this tournament has been cancelled. Could anyone confirm this? Is there any other legacy tournament sheduled on sunday (decent size, in proximity to the GP-site)? Quick reply would be appreciated, since I need to know whether I have to slap together some vintage abomination to keep busy on sunday, and what decks to pack.
Btw, if anyone feels like saying hi, I'm the Belgian guy playing The Mighty Quinn :).
Cya in Madrid,
Tom
That tournament has been cancelled and I haven't heard of any other scheduled.
EDIT: There's a PTQ that day if you're into extended.
Looks like this has been cancelled mate, I would slap something together!

BTW, it's being one of the rainiest weeks I've ever seen, so you may want to bring one, though you could always purchase one from those nice guys from some asian country that sprout at Metro stations whenever it's raining.
Who is showing up tomorrow for registration?
Weather proof Goretex shoes and leather jacket at the ready! Bring on the bad weather!
Well, it's bad weather for spanish standards. Here we're not used not to see the sun for 10 days.
Ahh, we call that "normal" in Britain....
I'll be showing up for registration. Just to make sure I can sleep a little longer on saturday. Now just hope there are already dealers on the site during the registration on friday, since I don't want to have to buy the last cards for my deck at saturday when there are 2000 more people trying to finish their decks. That would invalidate my extra sleeping hour.
The weather seems good though, comparing to what I've seen in Holland for the last couple of weeks. At least the temperature is about 10 degrees better.
I brought some dry clothes instead of an umbrella or other rainproof stuff.
Can't be worse than dutch standards for rain. ( this is just asking for it)
are there any websites or people planning to videotape some matches? we all could use more legacy games on youtube to watch
My plane leaves in two hours. See you in Madrid! (I'll most likely be wearing a Cech Chelsea kit day 1... or 2) :)
So I guess it's time to wich everyone of you the best for their flights, their time at Spain and also for the GP :D.
Hope to see some Sourcers in the higher ranks, some awesome Reports and other stuff.
cheers
Holland and Belgium will win it xD
Ant and Bant ftw haha^^
gogo
Let me start with this:
Next time Wizards tells us the adress of the location, let them be a lot clearer. I just spend an hour and a half in a car trying to find the goddamned venue. Typed in the location Wizards games us into my navigationsystem and I've seen the whole western part of Madrid. I guess seeing the zoo, the amusement park and stuff is nice, however I was starting at dozens of hookers while trying to find my way in the dark. If I want to take a look at hookers, I can do so in my own country ( and not take my girlfriend with me in the proces).
Just met up with some other Dutch guys, went trough pre-registration with them and left for my hotel. Traffic in Madrid sucks, and I thought I was used to something haven driven in Paris, Amsterdam and Milan.
Plane was delayed 1.5 hours, and I got up at 5 am to drive to the airport, so I just had the day of my life :)
Now to finally decide what to play, sleeve it and go to sleep.
Everyone else: Have a nice tournament.
Keep the name of this site high at the GP, guys. I don't want the tournament to be won by a format-ignorant again.
XD
I was surprised when you said you were renting a car, considering you can get to the city center by Metro in half an hour. But, hey, you have already experienced two of Madrid's finest features, it's traffic and the lovely ladies that walk around the zoo and the fun park.

1515 registered just today!
After placing 46th at Lille I wanted to improve my result in Madrid. Time is changing, however, and today I am married, got a small daughter and we are currently moving to our recently bought house. Both a happy and a sad panda here.
