I'm a little weird in that sometimes, I'll just like the reprint art more. A big example of this one for me is the promo Path to Exile vs the foil Shards. I do recognize though that the foil Shards is considered more pimp - that one is just a personal preference of mine. In general, I do like foils from the first version they're available from as is typical of most people who like foils.

reprint foils are never going to be as pimp as the original foils.
also, karakas foil is ugly as hell and i would rather play the original art english than those ugly foils w/ starburst all over the bottom of the card.
