Wish that step could be easily done than said. My nearest community is over in Berkeley and that is a $7 to and from train ride between SF, and Berkeley.
The season is down for now (although LSV still competes from time to time in the eternal events), and the number of people to test would still be extremely slim (unless you go to So Cal).

In addition to that, there is nobody locally willing to seriously test with me. Even if I do finish constructing the prototype, SF is still currently dominated by the FNM and Gleemax's propaganda (there are still people who still haven't realized that Vintage and Legacy are two totally different formats). So I have it really bad at this present time. If I do find a person, that is hit and miss by most. So when there is nobody to test, I spend some time playing around with the laptop cam that I recently acquired to see if outfitting coverage reporters laptops with just the basic one would be good for covering GPs.

Then if Matchplay (the people who can't get their information accurate) would have gone with a Legacy GP, it would have changed the minds of the local population than enhance them to keep dismissing it on the major scale.

More or less, finding people to test is extremely hard from where I live with all this FNM propaganda floating around. If it was less hit and miss there would be accurate data to rely on.

You know, there is MWS, and a worldwide legacy community you can test with online. Most of your lists appear underwhelming, and far more casual than actual DS. This is a list for a developed and competitive meta game, and if you're playing against decks that 8 moons, Chalices, and 3spheres aren't effective against, there are probably a lot better deck choices than a watered down and suboptimal DS list.

I was asked to clear up my feelings on my testing with the no equipment build, so here goes:

I found it pretty damn good against the MWS meta which has a lot of blue based control, but it hurt the Aggro matchup, and I didn't like not being able to have a full set of moons of 3spheres post board. Basically, I would recommend an equipment-less build only in extreme metagames.

Right now I'm fooling around with a build that is virtually the same except 24 beaters, 0 Trinis main, and the 3 Jittes back in.

How about a comination of both Kinesis and Pryoclasm?

@ Phantom: Is it really worth to play Mauler or Sulfur in the Main and ditch Trini in the Board?

I mean 3-Sphere is a Damn good Card, and it doesn't look like Mauler or Sulfur could Screw the opponent like 3-Sphere. I didn't see that Mauler or Sulfur wins the Game much faster, if you play them...

Trinisphere is only good against Thresh and Combo, or if you drop it turn one on the play. That's why it's usually in the sideboard. There are few worse topdecks than Trinisphere. I'd rather have a Mauler or a Sulfur almost all of the time.

I run 2 jittes Main and one in the SB. I was wondering what the correct boarding strategy is against TES.

1) Trini's ok, well, I get those :)
2) Extra Jitte in? It seems too slow to really do anything, but -if- it connects, you're answering both their kills
3) Pyrokinesis (I don't run Clasms) in or out? I've tested them in, but I think the odds of him going for EtW and me actually having Pyro are very slim. And even when I do,　it's still not enough unless I have a creature and can drop a second. Besides, I don't want to lower the threat number too much (I've actually had games against TES wherein I had a Trini/Moon/Chalice lock and still lost because I topdecked 4 lands, Jitte and a Chrome Mox)

On the equipmentless build: I like the idea. But what I don't like is that you'd be replacing Jitte with Trini, basically removing equipment to run more lock. I think we sort of run enough lock. I was thinking more along the lines of dropping Jitte for a threat. Then again, none of the threats we could run that we aren't running already outdo Jitte.

Who needs much equipment in that build when you have so much raw power to boot in the plan. But still keep some on hand if you do need it that bad.

Magus, SSG, and Sulfur Elemental are still "weak". Equipment like Jitte allow those guys to beef up or can be used to take down a Confidant, Rofellos, goblin army. It also gains life if you ever need it. Nothing should be run outside of Jitte except maybe 1 sword of light and shadow.

True, but if the MB doesn't need it they might as well put those cards in the SB for the heck of it. But otherwise they would have to be very creative with the plan in mind.

No...that is NOT the point of a sideboard. you are not supposed to think "Hay guys, I cut mainstays from the MD for bad cards, so I'll make my SB awful too and stick in things that I couldnt get to make the cut because Im running bad pet cards MD!"

Well it is not up for me to decide whether he should keep the plan like that. I just put ideas on the table. If he Phantom wants to keep it that way let it be until he realizes flaws in the plan.

Just a quick thought: I always play the maximum number of Seething Song and the maximum number of Arc Slogger. First turn, that guy is a beating, and will win you mucho matchups. That's all :)

I play with the maximum number of songs and it helps the deck out considerably especailly when you are going to finish people off with a single Pit Dragon.

Mercenarybdu you do realize that cards that destroy Basic lands, will still not destroy lands that are turned into mountains by Blood Moon, right? Mountains created by Blood Moon, are still considered "Non-Basic Lands" hence why Price of Progress still works on them.

I know that already. But the Titan is just meant to pick off whatever other basic lands they may have on the ground. That is why I only run a single copy in my SB.

Might run the price in place of that thing, but then I'd have to make some space in the SB for other copies if I do plan to be that bold.

What good would a Price of Progress do in the side? What would you bring those in against? A deck with mostly non-basic lands that you already have a good match up against? A side board is to help problematic match ups, not make good ones better.

True. But it just opens up all of the other options on the table that might or might not work.

That's what play testing is for. You determine what cards work and what doesn't before you go to a tournament, as opposed to dealing with the damage all day.

A while ago we were searching for other 3cc critters to replace Sulfur Elemental and as I recently found 2 Phyrexian War Beast in my collection I thought I'd ask what you think of it.
It doesn't die to Pyroclasm and survives Mongoose (and basically every relevant critter Goblins can throw at you). Cons are that it is colorless (no pitching for Chrome Mox or Pyrokinesis) and artifact hate suddenly becomes even better against you. It also does not do all that fancy stuff Sulfur Elemental can do and Mauler or Akroma might get bigger but with a butt of 4 and the ability to block it 's no Bloodrock Cyclops either.
My suggestion would be to take it in the direction of an equipment-less version maybe replacing 1-2 Jittes with War Beast.
Sorry to bother you all with yet another mediocre card but at least it's not uncastable like Sundering Titan ;)
