Top lives to fight another day; cheers to more dominance.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
I find it somewhat surprising that the B&R Announcement didn't even mention the state of Legacy tbh. Does anyone have the lists from mtgo from Sunday? From what I recall there were several people running 5 REB effects.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Well, who cares about 5 reb? Do reb counter top?

Based on the fact that they didn't even mention Legacy in the B&R non-update announcement (but did mention the even less supported Vintage format as a situation to monitor), I don't think Top or any other cards in Legacy are anywhere near their radar. Which I agree with, although I would gladly give chemotherapy to this therapy up the wazoo to get rid of the Eldrazi cancer, even if losing some of the decks I enjoy came as collateral damage.

Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
What are people's thoughts about the 3-4 Predict lists that have been popping up to great success on Magic Online as well as IRL Events? Angelo, for example, is playing 3 Predict in his list now, in addition to the results we already see on MTGtop8 and TC decks.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Has anyone had any more success with boarding in Null Rods and boarding out Tops in the mirror? Pretty interesting concept to say the least

I've had more success with 3-4 Predicts recently than with previous lists, but I fear this reflects adaptation to the MTGO metagame, which is quite inbred. I haven't played Miracles in paper in months, and I'm not sure when I will do so next.
Edit to respond to Wilson's recent question

So far, I have been playing a Null Rod as my 15th sideboard card to test out what Poron suggested a while ago, but it has done exactly what its flavor text suggests: nothing. Haven't boarded it in yet.
Edit #2: No, this is not a joke. I have played Null Rod in the last five leagues in which I've played Miracles. Unfortunately, I haven't had a great opportunity to bring it in yet, but even though it does hurt a lot of our card selection, there is tremendous tactical value in being able to windmill slam this and tilt your opponent.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Predict seems extremely strong on the basis of its excellent art alone.

I think the inbreeding is definitely a good point to make, however, seeing the success that the build has in the small number of paper events that it's been played in, shows that data still supports its strength overall, as the build was built to demolish a midrange-heavy metagame, which is where we are at this time. Definitely something to think about.

3 predict is good, 4 is bad, 2 is fine.

5 REB > 4 Leovold.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Does anybody really think Predict x4 is viable?

Not sure where this conversation will go, BUT - I think its important to understand that at no point are we as Magic players "entitled" to a win. In the first match vs BUG Aluren it is unfortunate that you were going to win and that he didn't concede, but despite this there are probably things that could have been done differently. 2015 Eternal Weekend Legacy Champion Bob Huang once told me something that I think is a very good approach to time while playing this (and any) deck - "Either call a judge or don't complain". In this situation I would like to point out that if you ever feel like your opponent is taking too much time for decisions, give them 1 chance to speed up, then call a judge. A draw is functionally a loss, and losing to time is never ever acceptable. Therefore, it is imperative that you are polite but cutthroat (else you might get DQ'd from your event). On the path to improving as a player, you have to always ask yourself why you lost and what you could do to avoid it the next time. It's impossible to say what could have been, but we can formulate plans for how to potentially avoid the problem the next go-around. In this case, if you had called a judge (as aggressively as necessary), perhaps your opponent would have sped up and allowed you to finish in time. Another example of something you could have done differently is in your second match vs Miracles. The first thing I am curious about is why it took 20 minutes for you to close the game despite being in control - is this something you could provide more insight on? After resolving CB + Top, I imagine the next goal is to just end the game as quickly as possible without losing. Perhaps it is possible you could have shuffled and fetched more aggressively to find the cards that would help you win faster, unless your opponent was taking a lot of time, in which case see the earlier point about calling a judge. The second thing I'd like to point out is that perhaps you should have conceded G2 almost instantly based on how much time was left in the round. Going into this game on 4 cards, you know that you will likely lose if your opponent is as good as you are given that they will maximize their edges and minimize yours. So, if by turn 3 you don't have some absurd draw... perhaps going to Game 3 where you have a fighting chance of winning was the correct line (which I'm not saying it is, but I definitely think in retrospect it is worth considering... especially if you started G2 with like... 20 minutes on the clock remaining). Just some thoughts, again - great job on the top 8!
Thanks for your Answer:)
Yes i have to note that the first tournament was regular and not competitive..also i know the People there.. and i don't want to call a judge then...
In a Gp or a competitive Event i do that of course:)
The Funny thing against the Miracle Mirror in Game 2 was i almost won haha..i handled him 2 CB and was still on the win but after that he surprised me with a Back to basic(Don't know if a miracle player should keep this in the Mirror?) and a jace.. Maybe i missplayed here because i could Pyroblast jace with fluster storm backup (He had just 1 island open and i know that he don't have the flow)
or i could Pyroblast Back to basic..The Problem now i can use my left volc (Had 4 lands in play 1 Tundra 2 Volc and 1 Island also 1 top and zero cards in hand) Two duals are already tapped. If i take the Jace i destroy the wincon but i have just 1 land in play(On top was a fetch i think, not sure about it)
He would have 3 lands open in his turn and also 1 top... He can play a new wincon.. I decided to take the Back to basic because then i have just to find 1 of my 4 answers to jace.. If i decide to take Jace i have to search for a fetch for volc and for a answer.
I think now bouth is wrong and i should just concede:) That's a very good Point.. I mean Mull 4 in the mirror can't win i think. I mean i was lucky he was not that experienced in the Mirror. But concede is the right thing i think:) Thanks for the advice!

PVDDR won against Philipp Schönegger after a mull to 4 in the semifinals of GP Paris ;) Although this was pre Mentor and G2 I think and Philipp just died to a slammed Stoneforge Mystic on turn 2.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
Yes of course can happen but i mean after some turns i should concede..not instant but at 1 point:)

wow 3 predicts? so what does he cut to play those? IMO the card slots are already pretty tight atm.
Re: [DTB] Miracle Control
How long has this 3-4 predict thing been happening? And why? Is it that every fair deck is trying to grind card advantage and stuff so we're just adapting by card advantaging harder?
