I don't get how the name of the deck should "describe" the deck, it's not like It's the fear makes anyone afraid or something :/
Dragon Stompy is just the red stompy, I wouldn't mind if it was called Moon Stompy, but that's just not the name people know the deck by.
By the way, never trust the people who name the decks for major events. They roll a die and pick up something. Like, if it says "Ad Nauseam", all you know is that the deck probably had the card named "ad nauseam" in there somewhere.
When TES picked up the card, I saw loads of TES lists named "ad nauseam storm". Good job.
I saw almost identical merfolk lists being dubbed "fish" and "merfolk" from some scg event. I think there was a rg goyf sligh called "zoo" too.
If you side out dreasnoughts from your Urg dreadstill deck, you are still playing dreadstill games 2 and 3 as much as you are still the person everyone secretly hates because you play that deck.
So yeah, if you see a "dredge" deck somewhere, that doesn't mean it doesn't have ichorids, and thus is not called "ichorid". Names are only meant so people have the general idea of what what's it all about.
If I cut (i'm not doing that) rakdos pit dragon, I'd still name the deck "dragon stompy" in the deck reg sheet.
Seriously, I still check out this thread every now and then and it always seems to be the same "DS should play RAWRGONS!! RAWR! DRAGONS!!! RAWRRAWR!!" discussion going on here. Now why is that?
