So is there still no decklist for that winner of the 293 man tourney?
Still nothing but I believe the list is a spring tide variant, not solidarity. I wish there was a list though.
What do you guys think of Pongify and Karn's Touch in the sideboard?
Incredibly narrow, to be sure, but dealing with creatures or 0 cmc artifacts forever seems pretty sweet (I'm looking at you, chalice of the void).
Lists are up! http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/s...l=1#post496012
I like the eldrazi plan, but damn, why not just win at that point with something else?
Perhaps it isn't a SBed game plan. It could be for against the mirror or against Painter decks, which doubles as an extra win condition? Seems kinda gimmicky, but I'm prone to like stuff like that.
That's not strictly true. Both Pongify and Karn's Touch are permanent answers to a single card, where bounce spells are temporary.
Like I said, they're very narrow, but clearly (I think) the most powerful answers blue has to the particular cards they answer: Chalice of the Void and Meddling Mage.
So, you don't think they're worth it. Anyone else?
SORRY I POST THIS IN THE WRONG THREAD; CAN ANY MODERATOR DELETE THE POST? THANKs.

Quite unorthodox list. IMO it seems taht this is a solidarity player that adapted the list into a Spring Tide, I mean, there are some cards in the list, that truly belong to Solidarity but are not as good in the Spring Tide version, like: Remand, Flash of Insight or Words of Wisdom in the Board. However, I can't see how this list can fight a CB-Top deck.
Greetings,

Is it worth it taking his idea of running an eldrazi? I'm thinking its not very hard to cast for us - set up our combo, and we can cast it, then cast a stormed brain freeze on top, giving us a little extra insurance, even though it does mean we'd have to do it on our own turn.
I went to a 30-man today and went 2-2. I lost to Aggro Loam 1-2 because I punted game 3, beat Goblins 2-0, beat Belcher 2-0, lost to Mermen 0-2. I'm still liking the 4 Wish/3 Tide main. Repeals out of the side were pretty good as well. I think this deck could do very well in the near future if Survival takes off. There's a big 1.5 tournament this Saturday, I'll probably post a list beforehand and report later on.
I also like the 4 wish/3 high tide's MD configuration in my limited testing it helps you find high tide a lot more consistently having 3 real copies MD and 4 virtual copies and wish is good because turn 3 wish EoT for tide can just win you the game. I have repeal MD as a 2 of right now although it might go to the board to support more 1 drop cantrips MD like peek possibly or more opts. I don't run any cryptic command and I see no reason to other than to stall and when solidarity is stalling with 4 drop cards it means we are likely going to lose unless we rip like a champion.
This deck could do very well if survival truly takes off and TES as well. This is why survival/vengevine shouldn't get banned; they just lose to combo like solidarity and TES. They goldfish turn 4 and that's solidarity's goldfish average and if we counter their survival we have virtually all day to set up a winning hand even if they have another survival that means we gained a turn on them. Not to mention we can stall them out really hard if we have hibernation as a wish target bouncing all their rootwalla's, survival, and vines to their hand EoT.
Do you guys are really having a positive UG Madness matchup?
I was having quite a hard time, thus changing to Spring Tide for now, that I think is way better against it.
I haven't played the matchup that often, but Cryptic Command and Echoing Truth are just silly against them. I've also been considering a Hibernation in the wishboard because it doubles as Enchantress hate.
-Silent Requiem
@Olesch: Emrakul was run in the spring tide's players SB as a 2 of. They operate at sorcery speed and as such they can hardcast emrakul.
Hibernation is the hawtness against UG survivine. Absolutely time walks them when they try to swing in for 16 damage turn 4 AND bounces survival back to their hand as well. The earliest the UG madness player can actually win through damage is turn 4 and that takes an absolute godhand and hoping we don't have disruption. If we're on the play it gets worse because we can remand survival back to their hand on turn 2 and time walk them. And without survival they're just plain dead in the water because they will likely be relying on one lone vengevine to win the game for them and it has to be hardcasted. FoW on survival is so good and if you play spell pierces MD they hit survival too whether you're on the play or on the draw. The best card they have to disrupt us is stifle if they run it to cripple our mana development or spell pierce is pretty good too. Overall the MU % is in solidarity's favor though.
@Dark Ritual: Yes i know that, but since this is the solidarity thread i thought he was talking about including it in solidarity.
How do you all guys play flash of insight? When i have it in my hand i dont really know what i should do with it. Turn three foi seems a really waste of mana when you could play cunning wish instead for example.
