I would go for Relic > Crypt, depending on what you run against.
MBT is good.
I could never find a use for Vexing Shusher. I would rather have Rushwood Legate to increase our rushdown targets as early as possible.
I also believe main deck Jitte should be a huge consideration in berserk stompy. Jitte will cause a deck running it to stabilize against you. You can use it as a legend rule counter to theirs, or just use the stupidly powerful card to win.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
The new spoiled card looks stupidly good in this deck:
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attac...5&d=1356930270
In my view, there's no reason to play 2cc creatures in this deck anymore, besides Silhana Ledgewalker, for the obvious reason that she is imba.
As for the talk on Umezawa's Jitte, my view is that it is strong enough to be maindeck material, yes. What bothers me is the time it takes to work, so it's a double-edged jitte, it will be amazing with a silhana on the battlefield 'n' connecting, and it will be dead slow if you are trying to berserk-win, or if opponent eventually is getting rid of all your creatures...
I'm too far from testing to drop a new version of this deck, but I'd like to see testings done with the new creatures, if anyone has any.

Yes, Experiment One is just perfect!!

When Strangleroot undies will he pump a 2/2 Experiment One? Same question about bloodthirsted Skarrgan.
I don't particualry think he is as good as you guys say however since it seems like he will be a 2/2 almost always and rarely a 3/3 assuming Strangleroot can pump him twice.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
I think it does pump it off of undying.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
Anyway, we had our legacy last night were 47 heads (I think) participated.
And since November of 2012, UW miracle, gobs, dredge, tendrills base combo and RUG were rampant.
I took my 5peso out believing that it has a better batting rate versus such meta.
The list that I took:
4 nettle sentinel
4 skarggan pit skulk
4 jungle lion
4 drayad militant
4 silhana ledgewalker
4 strangeroot giest
4 berserk
4 invigorate
4 might of old krosa
4 rancor
3 seal of strength
10 forest
7 G_fetches
SB
4 mindbreak trap
4 rushwood legate
3 tormod's crypt
2 fog
2 ranger's guile
MUs were as follows:
RD_1 bye
gobs - Went to 3 games, but i kept a G3 one land. Thus I lose.
MUD - COTV at one spelled doom for me. Not to mention his 8/8 emperion which doesn't allow to change his life pts.
esper - G3 jite saved his day from the fangs of my jungle lion
reanimator - G1 was able to out race his lone griselbrand. G2, turn two kill via jungle lion 40/x ROAR!
UW miracle - G3, i was on the draw, my opening hand consisted of 3 rushwood legate plus a militant. ^_^ no terminus came to his aid. i win!
gobs - G1 mvp was skarggan, went like 26/x. G2 I lose. G3 strangleroot was my MVP, reviving him for no cost is an advance.
^_^
did anyone played this in GP Denver?

I don't understand the point of Invigorate. Is it just because it combos with Berserk?

invigorate is the best among:
-bounty of the hunt
-might of old krosa
-groundswell
-mutagenic growth
-monstrous growth
-giant growth
-etc

It's mainly because it combos with berserk, yes, but when you don't have berserk, +4/+4 for :3: isn't bad, and surprise-defense or even free +1 damage isn't bad as well. Bottom line, it's great with zerk, and not bad without it, that's why.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
played the deck in another 5_rounder awhile ago with no changes from the list that i had from last week's legacy
.
MUs were
scapeshift 0-2
punishing zoo 1-2
junk 2-0
TES 2-1
dredge 2-1
^_^
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
I've started to have some success with this deck again. I think my build is similar to a lot of the ones posted lately, but here it is anyway:
4 Dryad Militant
4 Jungle Lion
4 Nettle Sentinel
4 Skarrgan Pit-Skulk
4 Silhana Ledgewalker
4 Strangleroot Geist
4 Berserk
4 Giant Growth
4 Invigorate
4 Rancor
4 Seal of Strength
16 Forest
2 Choke
3 Gleeful Sabotage
3 Mold Adder (might add 1 more)
3 Pithing Needle
1 Sylvan Library
3 Tormod's Crypt
I'm not sure about the Chokes anymore, they just seem so slow for what they do, and Miracles is the only thing I really need it against anymore. Maybe I'll cut them for another Library and Adder. I like Adder a lot btw. I'm thinking Oxidize might be better than Sabotage (I mostly find myself destroying artifacts these days).
I think I'll replace Lion with Experiment One before I cut Geist. He's been so good to me.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
If your about to take Experiment One route, reconsider Talara's Battalion. I used to run it a while in my ten land stompy ages ago and it wasn't that bad. Maybe slight tweak on pump spells like Mutagenic Growth would make it possible?
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
Anybody thinking about the new card just spoiled, Slaughterhorn?
Its a bloodrush card card and something like
G2
3/2
G, Discard to give attacking creature +3/+2
So its an uncounterable growth when you attack and can double as a 3/2 in emergencies.
Not thrilled that it has no defensive value whatsoever
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
On Slaughterhorn:
Not shivering in joy, but still worth testing. Probably I will take out some Rancor, Seal and dude for 3-4 Slaughterhorn. I like that it has ability to work both as a pump or a creature when needed. Wish it were two mana to cast, but anyways I have hard casted Invigorate before so maybe it could work. When thinking it as a possibility to keep creature count high while adding a pump spell it starts to look better and better.
And on Experiment One:
I really don't think that it is what this deck needs. It's something I would hate to draw on turn three, atleast when comparing it vs rest of the deck. Even with Strangleroot (and Battalion) it's still too conditional...
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
It seems like it could work. I can't remember the last time I used GG on the defensive, and having an extra dude when you need it could be helpful. If only it were even something reasonable like a 2/2 for 2.
Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy
So I've decided might of old krosa is better than giant growths, and maybe pithing needles are better in SB than grips as they are cheap ( see my decklist earlier on the page ) , however here's the main reason for the post
8 2cc creatures can be quite slow, geist has haste and undying so should we cut silhanna ledgewalkers for 4 more 1cc creatures? I know he's great for berserk, but we need to race that combo player!!!

Personally, I like Faerie Macabre better than Tormod's because it can't be countered and doesn't count as a spell. I haven't played this deck in a while, but Xantid Swarm is pretty good in poison to avoid counters and plows on the turn you plan to Berserk.

How are you fellow zerks.
I've been with this deck since the very 1st legacy tournament of 2013 here in Manila.
the lsat time i used this, i had a 2-2 in a 4rounder tournament. i won against UW control and junk. i lost to elf ball and burn (due to mana flood).
I do plan to use the deck again tomorrow. I hope things go to my favor where JUND, TES, nic fit, dredge, merfolk, elfball, rdw, mono B sui, junk at reanimator are expected meta! Will let you know guys of my results.
CHEERS!
