It's good to attract the new players, but there is only so many people out there who want to play Magic. But growing the game among the already existing base is a very good idea, because these people are already fans, already know the game and so are often willing to spend more.
Take the $10 a month fan and make him or her a $50 a month spender. Take the 50 and make him or her 100. This is the kind of growth that can really sustain the game. Take the EDH player and make him or her a Modern player. Make the Standard player a Modern one. Make the Modern player an EDH player.
This is contingent on the print run of this set being as big as rumored though.
