Menendian. And the single Snow-Covered Island was actually the right play in the deck during the time when it played Goblin Charbelcher.

Topically, I think it's probably worth it to play the Crypt over the Heap Doll, because it's approximately infinitely times better. The only thing Heap Doll does is still blow up Bridges when it dies because it can block a Zombie. If you're really worried about it, why not run some number of Leyline of the Voids?
Edit: If you're seriously just doing it because of the Japanese Crypt, is it WB or BB? Arrangements could be made :P

If I may interject:

Rather than 3 Crypt 3 Doll, or 4 Crypt 2 Doll, why not 4 Crypt 2 Explosives?

Explosives can:

A) kill bridge tokens
B) wipes out Pithing Needle on your Crypt, or Chalice@0 (pay :1: or higher with city/tomb)

Seems better than Heap Doll in his build, considering he doesn't run equips anyway.

EDIT: Or 3 Crypt 3 Explosives, maybe.

EDIT2: How about Faerie Macabre over Heap Doll? It has the element-of-surprise advantage over Heap Doll.

EE can also blow up: Chalice of the Void and Chrome Mox, I really don't think the board needs both Doll and Crypt. I tested this MU 10 games last night, each deck going 1st 5 times, pre-board. DS won 4 time one the play and 2 time on the draw, this match really isn't that tough.

10 games is pretty damn statistically insignificant.
EE might be better synergy because it can remove Pithing Needle, but I think most of the time you'd rather just kill their board. I'd suggest looking at Keg instead of EE since you can occasionally get Narcomeobas or something else with it, and it's a fine sideboard card in some other matchups.

Shit, totally forgot about Keg, well, yeah Keg then instead of Heap Doll.

Hmm, if the advantage of pyrokinesis is helping you get hellbent (beside of its instant speed), why won't we use Cave-in instead of Pyroclasm?

I rather pay the 2 instead of pitching more cards out since we already have pyrokinesis. Assuming it's going to be used for goblins and other "weenie" decks, they would tend to run more basic lands and we would side the blood moons out. We wouldn't have enough red cards to pitch out to keep us steady.

can someone explain me why the newest lists play akroma? cause it's a morph? cause it's uncounterable?
I have 2 copies in my own but I never play with them cause I always have tought they are to hard to cast...

Akroma is believed to be better in the late game when Dragon Stompy usually runs out of steam, therefor helping the control match up. The fact that it can dodge counter magic, Deed, and Swords only adds to its control beating pluses.

Akroma was also originally run in lists like the one I play: ones with 4 equipment. This meant that her morph stage was more likely to carry a sword/jitte and less likely to be a grey ogre that can dodge CoP:Red (won a match on this; it was sweet)

However in a Goyf (I'm assuming Thresh?)/LS/Dredge meta, I would drop an Akroma to add the 4th Blood Moon to the main.

Landstill is 2C in Germany, so I'd stick with three Blood Moons and keep the threat count at 22. Alternatively, I'd cut one Trinisphere for it. I think there's no combo in that metagame, and Trini is overkill against Thresh, weak against Landstill, and only really good on turn 1 against Ichorid.

Also, in the SB, one could consider replacing Powder Keg with (Rolling) Earthquake. It still hits Ichorid's creatures, but it doesn't kill your Moxes and Chalices and you can bring it in as a finisher against Landstill.

Honestly, if Landstill is still 2C and prevalent, Akroma is amazing. I think also that 2-3 Blood Moon main is correct, since it is not as strong against 2C still, and trinisphere should be a 2 of max. You can fill your extra slots with Sulfur Elemental, too, who is solid against control.

I'd think Akroma is better against Deedstill than 2C, because it's a lot harder to deal with it using Deed than with Wrath or Humility. I don't think black Landstill runs spot removal which hits her; maybe the occasional Shriekmaw.

Do you think 1 Random Akroma is good for the Deck?
I mean: How high is the Chance to draw it, when you need it...
1 Random-Akroma is crap against LS if its in the Last 15 cards of your Deck or something like that... imo

We also have 3 or 4-Color LS Builds, I see them more often than 2 color Builds...

I actually only ever ran her as a 1-of, and I liked, if not loved it. It creates a guessing game for the opponent with morph creatures that I find fun. I really had no large problem with running 2, just that I think the 4th Blood Moon is a better call in your meta as Akroma is probably not doing much against Tarmogoyf or Ichorid decks, where Blood Moon is useful in all of them. If you'd prefer to drop something else (like a Trini) for the Moon, feel free. Also, this was just a general suggestion since your description of your meta was so broad.

Also, now see that you're playing 3 Keg in the board. How have you found them? I didn't test them a ton, but I found them slightly useful against Goyf, but just so slow. This deck likes to win (and lose) fast, so I might consider 2 extra Jittes and a Trini in the board instead.

Sword of Fire and Ice seems like too good a card to drop completely. I would atleast make room for two. It's nice playing 4 Equipment so you are likely to see one, no more, no less each game. Having an equipment to turn all your 2/2s into actual threats seems relevent.

Your thoughts on cutting SOFI completely?

(PS: I'm really not a fan of 2 Akroma :rolleyes: )

The Version of DS that I have been running doesn't run any Akroma's or Equipment. The is a lot of combo and control decks in my meta and I choose to run 4 MB 3sphere and 24 creatures. Here is my current list:

Yeah, but I think you are Missing one big thing... Your Build plays 24 Creatures + 1 Akroma. Without Akroma(s), I play 20. With 24 guys I would also play only one, but with 20 Creatures it looks very different...

Hmm, to the Keg, its great against Zombie & Goblin Tokens... Ichorid is very easy with Crypts, Trinis, and Kegs... It's also good against NQG/w because sometimes, its just Force, Force, Swords, Swords, and then you get killed by multiple Goyfs/Mongeese because you draw no creatures...

I don't like more than 2 Jittes Mainboard, and neverever wanted them in the Side... I tested so often with more than 2 Jitte,and never found it useful. It's not even necessary to board Jitte in against anything...

Final Words: I don't like Taurean Mauler for the reason that he plays against the deckstrategy... Yeah It IS a BIG Aggro-Creature if you play it first Turn, but you want to prevent the opponent of playing cards... I tested him often and he is NOT bad, but... It's just so much against the strategy imo...
