Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
Since omni is all but out of the picture is it safe to run 2 spell snare in the main? It was only bad against omni and now hymns are going to be more popular, along with more graveyard hate in boards

Yes I'm thinking of going to a similar configuration, trouble is, Spell Snare doesn't hit anything in Sneak and Show (likely best Show and Tell deck) either.

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
That's true but I think it's going to revert and not alot people are going to go back to sneak other then the dedicated SnT players and that means DnT will get bigger

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
So would it be a thing to run a few copies of vice in the side to help against combo? Drop it early and just stifle/waste/pierce them out of the game? Maybe for the white based control decks that use rip it could be sided in for a goose or goyf

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
I'm definitely interested in seeing how Black Vise fits into Legacy, possibly in a delver shell, but mathematically it doesn't make sense to play it instead of delver on turn 1, right? Maybe its better to play it instead of goose.
EDIT: Meaning, its better to lead with vise and follow up with goose. not instead of goose.

hopefully there will be a daze, stasis, boomerage, velkaden deck somewhere.

Divert didn't seem that great when I tried it. How many were you running?

Divert mainly. I play both this and bug and I'm leaning more tward this. Diverting a decay to thier own goyf can be game ending

You have faced a RUG Pilot playing diverts? Do you know how many he was playing?

I just prefer a card like Misdirection to Divert - you don't need to leave mana up and its unconditional (For example, Ancestral visions resolving on upkeep means Divert doesn't do anything, they just pay), and ends up being a 2 for 2 (if you Mis'D a removal spell to their own creature) or 2 for 3 (Mis'D Hymn or Visions) trade.

I guess a 3 for 1 will do that to a guy  like Notion Thieving a brainstorm activation

Well more hymns would be the reason to run more MD snares

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
How do you guys think Dismember is positioned at this point? I was running 2 in the main, mostly to handle Gurmag Angler, and the occasional Tasigur. With the recent banning, I think we can reasonably expect Grixis to become much less popular, so should I consider running Forked Bolt instead of Dismember?

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
Do you guys think esper/deathblade will return?
I just hate it that we might see more TNN again if stoneblade comes back from the dead.
Cheers

I posted my thoughts on Dismember a few posts before yours:

Assuming you want it to answer Tarmogoyfs, The only other deck thats really running Tarmogoyf is 4 color delver and I think the best way to beat that deck is through mana screwing them (you can pretty easily take them off green or red) which allows you to win the Tarmogoyf war. The other most popular decks (grixis, miracles, and omnitell) dismember is lackluster (maybe vs gurmag angler? But still I don't see very many of those).

Honestly I think Deathblade is a favorable match up. As far as TNN is concerned, they still need to get 3 mana against the stifle / waste deck and you should have pyroblasts post board. If they don't have an equipment resolved yet, TNN is not game over even if it resolves. 8/12 creatures can attack into an opposing TNN.

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)
Has anyone tried running tarfire / seal of fire in the 2 flex spots. Is forked bolt better to kill multiple x/1's or is pumping a goyf better?

I'm expecting a lot of Elves/DnT/Infect in my local meta post Dig ban. With that in mind, I'd say Forked Bolt is going to be far more useful than an extra +1/+1 on a goyf.

Someone on this board tried tarfires a while back, I forget what the results were. What I will say is, the most 2 for 1's I've gotten off my Forked Bolts are vs delver / pyromancer decks. Its hard to get a 2 for 1 vs taxes, since Mom is kill on sight and means you would have let a thalia stick around for a couple turns or something (wait until they play another x/1). Elves they have a lot of bounce tricks and whatnot but killing a dryad arbor and something is a real blowout. Growing the goyf is important vs Grixis decks but I've been sticking by Forked Bolts and thats where im gonna stay.
