I'm a sysadmin. I live alone and don't have many other hobbies. The worst part is I'm underpaid for my industry, by a lot, but the job is pretty easy and the workplace is ace.

The "white" borders are just clear foiling as a heads up. So you'd end up with a Silver-bordered (or foil-bordered) deck more or less.

I'm a senior in college (working at a car wash) that can't afford nice pimp.

I'm an engineer. I quit playing Magic to go to college, then got a degree, a good job, and rebought at 3x as much.

either you would have had to start playing 15+ years ago or you have to have a good job. I started a long time ago, and that is getting me through my current law school years.

So, after FNM tonight, my friend and I wanted to play some Mini Masters and he talked me into doing a Conspiracy Mini Masters. I seem to have done fairly well.

It was only after I played it that we looked up the value and I immediately sleeved Mr. Fayden. High fives were had all around and then Dack and Brago combined to draw me a ton of cards. Dack was eventually ultimated and I stole all of my friend's creatures with Wrap in Flames. He just laughed and conceded on the spot.

yea he's probably the only english card that you can still pull out of a pack that will trade for an underground sea. Very nice.

The lawyer bubble was so 10 years ago. Many of the people in the Rarities groups are in the Financial sector, either in banking or stocks.

I actually don't know of a few others in the med field beyond Shawn and myself, but if you're in ophthalmology/dermatology you can easily bill $600,000 and as an OMFS you can bill 1.2-2m, ballpark.

If you erase/acetone the ink off a foil you will be left with a shiny blank foil surface on most cards. It won't be white. However, on some sets, they changed the printing process and so you DO get a white surface, and foil surface will get erased along with the ink. The sets this is applicable to is mirrodin besieged and all sets after and some print runs of Eldazi-Scars. I do not know about promos or FTV. Also, the premium deck series are weird; they are just stickers that you can peal right off the card. I am not sure how the react to erasing ink though.
