Wish you good luck, hope you weren't ripped off. That card looks amazingly beautiful, and if that's a real thing, it's a shame to shuffle that.

So the uv light came in today. Hope it works. Consequently a mox diamond came in the mail today as well. Can someone let me know if I am doing the test correctly. Here is a pic of the mox diamond under the light. I believe that it does glow but I would like a second opinion.

I will do the test on the suspicious beta bayou when I get home.

How can people value phyrexian Elesh over Russian when there is something like 10000000:1 proportion??! (was not sure in last three zeros)

Probably on aesthetic or novelty grounds. I don't like the look of Cyrillic, which is why I don't like Russian cards. It's not inconceivable that demand for the Phyrexian one is larger relative to the supply than it is for the Russian one.

Kanji to match my Japanese tattoo's. But i must say i am very happy with Japanese cards. They come close, look sharp and artistic, don't cost a fortune non foil and when signed they are beautiful. While Korean also has something i find cool, the rest of the languages (including Russian) are butt ugly to me. No offense to people running hot to foil Russians. English is pratical. Some cards are readers and it would take to much time for judge calls so i found that altering English versions is a good solution. But just few alterers among them are true artists. The rest of alters are mostly shit. But ofcourse, Pimp in the eyes of the beholder.

Yes, but Russian is still a language. And life here is similar to phyrexian's being. And our church have much in common with Elesh's one.
And what you call "phyrexian" is what little girls draw on their arms in school classes. And what then? Wizards will print circles, cubs and leafs on Llanowar Elves and will put black dots on eldrazi spells? And it will be top stuff. Seems like wizards are a company of printing mon... Oh my god... O my god! They are a money printing company! All this paper things!

Yep. Poole alter.

I only want/have artist alters. I consider non-artist alters (as nice looking as some might be) a crime against humanity I know how a lot of collectors think about my collection the same way).
