I would absolutely love the Judge Dark Confidants because I love the old border, but the fugly shooting star in the middle of the text box is hideous. If it was at the bottom like the old foils, or where the set symbol normally goes... I'd have them instead of my set of foil Ravnica.Quote:

What's everyones opinion on getting non MTG related stuff altered on cards? Part of me thinks its tacky and ugly. The other part of me REALLY wants to personalize my deck with pop culture references from my childhood.

They're your cards. Do what you want.
In my opinion is not a good idea if you plan to play big tournaments. Modifying the art of a card to the point that the card is no longer easy recognizable may lead to judges not allowing to play it. Another thing is extending the art, or making little changes, which won't affect the cards playability in big tournaments.
