I'm actually kind of sad as to the fact that they have jumped so high in price. I sold in 2 regulars at $10 and a foil at $20 last year at Gencon. :frown:

I mean I know it's a good card across multiple formats. But it went from 70+ to 150+ in like less than a week. What causes random jumps like that? It didn't creep up over the course of a month. It just went boomboompow crazy.

LOL foils. There is no cap on that market. If you don't have them, and want them, well you're boned.

Also why I refuse to become attached to foils. They can tank or spike in a matter of days for no apparent reason, or in some cases becomes reprinted as promos.

I have also another question about Liliana of the Veil, why also normal one is growing up in price and it's always harder to find?

Modern is an eternal format. It remains Even after this Season. Liliana is One of the top 3 Walkers ever printed and a repeatable creature removal in a Format defined by creatures. In Addition, the Color combination of BG has an all Time Popularity High with DRS and Abrupt Decay with Modern Masters (Thoughtseize, Tarmogoyf) on the horizon. People rightfully expect BG staying a Force in modern. I don't See a pricedrop before rotating out of standard

I'm thinking of selling out my German foils and just go German. The number of decks I could build would multiply substantially.

I'm worried about the regret as well. I'm not in a tight bind financially, so I'll probably continue pimping in foil for now.

The big thing that scares me is a lot of binders and decks are getting stolen in my area lately. Only thing I have going for me is I'm the only person in Utah that collections German foil, so it'd be almost impossible for the thieves to move my stuff.

Another thing is if I do sell out of my foils and go none foil, I could have a lot of decks built. decisions decisions.

A better reason: they look ugly. If foils and non-foils cost the same, I'd still choose the latter.

It depends on the foils for me. I hate playing with foils, but for collection (or edh general) purposes if it is a colorful one Ill pick up a foil. Like Soul Ransom. Saw it in a binder. Had to have it.

The prices on onslaught fetches are just crazy. I just picked up an extra set of polluted deltas at at 65 a piece and still think they are not worth it. Five years ago I could have had an Underground sea at that price.

The chances of fetches being reprinted is very very high. even though these are not in modern, it just doesn't make sense for only half the fetches to be in modern.

I'm not so sure about that. WotC seems to have an aversion to reprinting super expensive cards outside of promos. With Polluted Delta creeping up near $100 I highly doubt they will pull the trigger on rare reprints of the Onslaught fetches in a regular set, and there would be a riot if they printed them at mythic.

Well it's on the reserved list, but it isn't actually a good general and that's the only place it's got any use.

That's why I skipped on drafting early. No chance you can pull anything outta that booster which makes up the price from a financial perspective. Funwise, it's a bad set too, for me because of the mechanic change in dimir and the otherwise boring mechanics and a complete Lack of Balance among guilds which result into gett'n complete blanks pic 3+

What cards do you guys think will be the biggest movers over the next 1-2 years and also beyond that? Besides obvious cards like duals/force/Bob/Goyf. What not obvious cards do you think will move up?

All the casuals will suck up all the reserved list legends rares eventually ... they'll all be $50+ ... look at shit like Rasputin Dreamweaver ... super gandolph looking timmy wizard from hell. You don't think he'll be $80 eventually? Fuck Angus McKenzie.

Starcitygames has it at $100, but I suspect you can still find (for the next few days until every other seller adjusts their prices to reflect SCG's prices) LEDs for around $70.
