I don't think that anyone is going to deny that DRS is the best card in the format now. If multiple archetypes spawn out of DRS that is a good thing.

I really don't know why you're complaining about top being banned since you seem to be very good at Soothsaying.

it's interesting to me how Vintage gets much more attention by Wizards as opposed to Legacy in terms of un/restricted cards.

I think it's due to the weekly Vintage Super League, hosted on the official Magic twitch channel and with their name on it. That and Randy Lahey seems to have a strong connection to the B&R people.

BUGx TNN + Leovold. Not that Miracles stomped over that deck (in fact, Miracles had an even to unfavorable MU against them), but now that the premier "doesn't target to remove" deck is gone, TNN will become better and Leovold will nearly always draw you a card.

If I put Ports back in (EE) Lands, good luck resolving your :b::u::g: three drop!

Infect was the tier one deck that crushed Miracles. I think it had popularity issues - too much like a combo deck for tempo players, but too much like a tempo deck for combo players.

I hope Infect can survive - that deck had real character. Otherwise it's bck to good-stuff Delver piles for our tempo decks I guess. :frown:

Infect is also pretty good against Elves. Hard to say how everything will shake out, but I suspect that Infect won't die off.

I still wonder about the timing for the Eternal changes. The data to justify a Top ban has been there for years, but why now? It wouldn't suprise me if it is partly used as a distraction since they didn't do jackshit to Standard. Again. No changes at all would probably cause a riot.
