Where does the pimpage climax for basic lands? Are gurus the best? How do you feel about the foil judge lands?

Whatever you enjoy the most. Personally, well-centered, NM Alpha or Simplified Chinese Portal 1 are maximum pimp. Also a sucker for Korean Urza's Saga. Never got that hard for Copyright 1994, but I can appreciate Gurus.
If Judge foils give you a stiffy, use Judge foil. I think some people frown on them as they are relatively easy to acquire, but if you think they are cool, use them.
To me, pinnacle of basic land pimp is ©1994. I think Gurus are tacky and don't look that good. I run these in my Miracles deck:

I think these (Euro and APAC) look better than any other basic land art seeing as they're based on real places, and WotC doesn't allow artists to draw land art like this anymore.
It depends on the rest of the deck. I'd say Alpha, but for a foil deck, you'd probably want to run foil lands.Quote:
