This kind of doomsday theory works for everything. If everyone stop to belive in the value of money => they will be worth nothing.

Well the dude that cuts up the sheets always says they're NFCs. That doesn't absolve him of his sharking the buyer by charging more.

I guess to keep it on topic: Beckett grading order about to come back (in transit). Subs 9.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.0 for overall 9.0. Pics to come, not telling what the card is just yet.

Given enough time, the probability that any bubble will burst approaches 1. It's not a matter of if, only when. Optimists and pessimists will obviously disagree on the timing. my brain tells me I should really cash out, especially since I almost stopped playing, but my gut sentiment prevents me from doing so.

Isn't the buyer a rational, responsible adult who chooses how to spend his money as he sees fit, being fully informed?

Selling a bottle of water for 50 euro to a man dying of thirst would make you a rat bastard, but nobody on the planet needs a foil miscut Jace, Vry/Isla to survive.

It's an awkward situation seeing as this individual is the only source of these NFCs so the buyer has nowhere else to go to acquire them. Yes, the seller can charge what he wants, but that means he can choose not to rip people off.

Individuals who use the term "bubble" to describe the intricacy of MTG Finance really have no clue.

Also if I may. This thread can be very toxic. From the quick use of insults to put downs when people post things that others don't agree with. While I am not against people having an opinion, sometimes the way that opinion is voiced is important.

Dice_Box, please let me know if I'm somehow out of line, because I would like to address this idea that somehow Kassis making NFC cards and selling them at the price people are willing to pay is somehow unethical?

As Stan pointed out, MTG cards are hardly live-giving necessities. Do you similarly think all the sellers who sell Beta duals at high prices are unethical?

Prices on cards are what they are because of what people are willing to buy them at. It's as simple as that.

I particularly do like the Kassis NFCs because they are actually rare if you think about it. How many German foil miscut ZEN fetches do you think exist in the world? How much do you think people would be willing to pay to own say one of 2 existing heavily miscut German foil Misty Rainforests?

I am ok with that, but I think it should have its own thread. I always saw this thread as somewhere for people to show off. Come here, see things that make me jealous. But when I come in here I almost never see that.

While I understand that these discussions are linked, to me (personally) it's not the same. If I ask peoples option's on what I should get to pimp a deck that's fine, but having a two or three page discussion on something in here probably should have its own topic. So that way those who want to show off their hard work are not drowned out by whatever is the topic of the moment.

Does that make sense? I am open to ideas.

Finding factory miscust can be challenging, nfc you just need to know where to look (Eli Kassis is a good place to start; CutThroatCasual can help find him for you.)
