More pictures of old, in

Beautiful deck. Nice to see another pimped Pox. I hope Harold McNeill warns people before signing their cards, though. Sheesh.

With the spoiler of EMA revealing Karakas and Maze, amongst other things, i am wondering if i want to replace the original English versions with the new JPN versions. JPN would mean consistency with the languages, but yeah, original still is original. What do you guys think?

Reprints aren't pimp.

Where do you draw the line with "reprints"?
So JPN Hymn's from EMA are not pimp in comparison to ENG versions from Fallen Empires? Even if the rest of the deck is in JPN (excluding duals ofc.)?

I say go for the Japanese hymns if that's all you need to have the entire deck japanese (except for dual lands, which will never be japanese). Since this is the first japanese printing, it's not truly a reprint since it's something completely new.
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
Do what you like and what seems cooler to you.
Your not getting a price from the ones that answer you.
I prefer foil cards with new border over old border but non foils. Its just cooler for me. I shi-tt on what the other think of my cards. They are mine ^^

I know it may sound too extreme, but in general that's my rule :) What's pimp is entirely subjective, so that's just my opinion.
There are some exceptions. For example I prefer foil Japanese Mercadian Masques Brainstorms over Ice Age ones. Or foil Japanese Dark Rituals over Alpha ones.
I also prefer the old frame over the new one. So taking a new frame reprint over an original old frame card sounds really bad to me. I understand what you say, if you consider having everything in the same language that important, then you "have to" go with the reprint. Cards from Fallen Empires to Alliances are problematic, as they don't exist in Asian and they don't look as cool as Alpha-The Dark (in English, of course) ones. Force of Will is another classic example of that issue. In some cases, playing with reprints doesn't "hurt" that much, like for example when using 4th Edition Black Bordered Korean Swords to Plowshares instead of Alpha ones.
Honestly I don't know what I'd do in your position, but I think I'd stick with Susan Van Camp's originals.

depends how deep you are and how consitent you find the postmodern border, In case of really old card I'd keep the oldest version, imo you can't go wrong with that, the old cards are pieces of art unlike the reprints (see Maze)... on the other hand I'd understand a new Karakas in all foil taxes, jap would not be enough for me.... after all it's your deck, play what you like (I'm playing korean Dark Rituals over alpha set I have btw.) ... just be prepared when the pimp police comes

Beautiful deck, but surprised you aren't running any dark rituals and so many discard spells! I really have been wanting a 2nd tabernacle like you have to make a viable prison deck in legacy, unless you splash green and can rotate for it, just 1 is not consistent enough.

Zero class people love black borders.

I just can't do the new frame ona classic card like Hymn despite the rest of my Shardless deck being Japanese (currently looking for Goyfs 3 and 4, so I'm still running my English ones). I'd love to find Hoover signed Hymns, so I'm going between unsigned Hoover (favorite art) and signed Kirschner (secomd favorite art, and signed).

Have you posted your deck here yet somewhere? :)

Hey rlesko,
It's not really my choice; I usually only post decks that have been successful in Catalan Legacy (or Vintage) League, and I post them as they have been played. I would have preferred that the deck had run Sinkholes and/or Rituals for more Old School value :)

Given he doesn't sign very often, I doubt the people getting their cards signed care.
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
The problem with Harold is (from the storys they have told me) that he drinks a lot. And some ppl I know sended card to him. And he never gave back because he used it to buy drinks. He also told that to them and that he would get the money and cards back...
Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks
I also heard a rumor that he was a pretty vocal white supremacist, which makes me think twice about wanting him to sign my cards.
