Generally that's the rule, unless the original art is contemporary and sucks. See Ponder for example. Any other version looks better than merfolk titties

I really feel like the original art is superior, not because it's the most aesthetically pleasing art in a vacuum, but because it's what a Snapcaster Mage looks like. It's the best version because it looks the most like a Snapcaster Mage, if that makes sense. In the same way, I think the MM art for Tarmogoyf is a lot prettier than the original FUT, but a FUT Tarmogoyf is what a proper Tarmogoyf looks like to me, and for that reason I always play those. Same with Wasteland, I absolutely love the art on the EMA version, but I play with Tempest because that's looks the most Wasteland-y. Well, that's my jam anyway. We all have different reasonings for our choices, and iconicness scores very high with me.Quote:

Hey, new to the thread. Been having fun checking out the previous pages, lot of cool stuff posted.
Anyway, stylized my legacy burn deck a few months ago. Took a while, but i'm pretty happy with the results. I know burn isn't a legacy favorite, but it's definitely fun to just relax sometimes and just throw some bolts at the face.
