I wouldn't cut it. There a reason for every card in the deck!
I'm just very nervous playing without a wishable Artifact / Enchantment hoser. I really don't like being cold to Chalice or Solitary Confinement game 1. Every time I go to a tournament it seems like I get paired against one of those cards at least once.
What would you guys cut for a Hull Breach or Reverent Silence (if anything?).
I would think if anything cut down a chain of vapor? They serve similar roles. I like running a revoke existence
Well, I have found wishing for artifact hate to be rather difficult anyways. If you're up against a chalice it's still possible for you to win. Chalice at 1 or 0 is not the end. I comboed out on turn 2 making 14 gobbos before vs. MUD, who had chalice at 1. I was forced to use only 0 drops (imprinting rits on Chrome Mox etc.), and remember, you can still cast 1 drops/0 drops vs. chalice for storm count. Vs. these decks I find it hard to get the mana to BW --> into hull breach anyways without wasting all your mana and storm. With Gprobes and Duress, you should be able to Chant walk (or BW into Cabal Therapy) before these things become a problem, unless they top deck like a beast. Same goes for Solitary, If they stick that on you or you know deck has this early on and you have no answer, make as many Gobs as you can asap. If you force them to play a Solitary before they are ready, they may be only able to buy themselves a few turns. Pressure wins these attrition games. Meanwhile you can sculpt your hand/silence-walk.Quote:

The problem I have with IGG now is that you need to make so much mana.. You can't even use Dark Ritual, LED, Infernal Tutor now, unless you have 2 mana floating because you have to Burning Wish for Tendrils of Agony. This strictly locks out IGG without LED. That just seems difficult to play with. There are some corner cases when I did cast IGG to win, but it seems like if you had that much mana floating, you might as well went Diminishing Returns. Sure, it's random, but with that much mana and cantrips, the variance is not great...Quote:

No one was talking about taking PIF out. We discuss relevance in Situations of PIF and IGG. I've got IGG cut long time ago because with the insane mana needed for Wish->IGG->Infernal->Wish->Tendrils I could have won with PIF as well. IGG only shines with Double LED and without massive flooding mana before it (because you Need to wish for it in the First place) you may have infernal->EtW as your only option manawise unless you discard wish no.2 to the LED's
P.S. I noticed that a lot of players fail a simple Form of mana acceleration/Stormcount with PIF: Using Infernals in the Graveyard to agressively tutor LED's, Crack for blue and dig for Rituals with cantrips. Lately i've noticed 2 games with a Player only being able to generate 4 mana but with 2/3 Infernals in the yard who could not figure out how to increase their mana Out of this Situation and tried to durdle with Brainstorm etc. into an EtW instead
Right Im not thinking about cutting PiF. Just commenting on how much more I use IGG than it. I've used it in testing. I just never have gotten to use it in a tourney too much.

I had. Blame me personal, if you think that decision was wrong. During the last 4-5 months I enountered 2 Situations in which IGG would have been nice to have. Didn't matter thaaaat much. One Situation was solved by PIF instead (close One) the other needed me to play EtW because I could not get enough storm and didn't want to gamble with Returns + 2 mana floodQuote:

Hello guys, it is a pity that someone hacked into my account and changed the password, so that is my new account now.
Recently, as you all may know, I won the SCG Washington tournament and wrote an article about it. I did some testing afterwards and decided to
share my wisdom with you. The changes are all obligatory and should not be raised to question.
Starting with the main changes I realized that Burning Wish is pretty overrated. It is pretty weak when you are playing against your buddy at home and you forgot to bring your sideboard with you.
I assume: -4 Burning Wish +4 Lightning Bolt is the right call here.
Also what bothered me was the lack of a real creature that can make some damage in case I am too afraid of fizzlin' around. In this case I think that the Snapcaster Mage will do the work for us.
So: -4 Probe +4 Snapcaster Mage should be good.
It may look to you pretty arbitrary but I have tested it against my younger brother with Casual Elves and it was pretty solid stuff.
Nevertheless, I suggest cutting Cabal Therapy for a spell that actually do some damage like Lava Dart. Way more valuable in late games and against hate bears.
So, let me know how your test games were. I will post a longer article including also some sideboard options like Opt and Peek later in my kitchen.
