This deck isn't competitive without DTT.

How much experience do you have with the deck in competitive play? I've played SNT strategies for years now and placed in the top 200 (without byes) of GPNJ with Omniscience. There are certainly more experienced pilots than I, but I'd be willing to bet they'll agree on this deck falling from the DTB section if DTT were no longer a card.
The deck had surprise factor, it no longer has this going for it. Strange decks win tournaments on occasion, that won't change.
If i where to play OmniShow the build i was playing last time in november, then i would still be having consistent results. Losing DTT will make people stop playing it. Not because the deck is bad, but they forced to pilot it better. That said, the deck is incredibly powerfull and arguebly (without DTT) still the best combo deck out there. I have been playing OmniShow since the printing of Omniscience (UR Wish, then later EtI/Halls based) and more often then not had T8 finishes. Check out somewhere around post 1078ish. The deck is and will remain competative, making it a DtB will only require for it to be hyped like it is now.
I would absolutely HATE to see DTT banned... but if it did. I would just go back to Sneak & Show.
In this deck is the impulse (or whatever other cmc 2 instant) really needed? Also its cool for the combo with fireminds. But its a 100% muss slot to have? Its not the option to play without? Its like you use it and its not more in the deck that means you can firemind only cunning and brainstorm.
Thx
Yes it's needed for Firemind's. Plus it's another cantrip to add to the list of many. I've hard casted it many times to get a combo piece to win the game.
But you could cast any other of 18276362 cantrips.
But its imposible to win without the impulse? Its just so bad of a card >.<
I'm using Split Decision instead of Impulse for some time now, and i must say i'm really happy with it. From copying counterspells to copying wish or dtt it fits wonderfully in the deck.
In a basic list what card would you cut?
2nd emrakul
4th dig, probe, preordain, ponder
3rd wish
Impulse or the like
I wanna a slot for an 19th land.
How many counters you play with split decision? 4 fow 4 soft counters?
Also with split you need to play 4 wishes right?
I am also considering playing split decision over impulse, which I think doesn't matter the number of counters you run.
Also I don't think split decision demands you play 4 wish, you cast Firemind's Foresight to get a cunning wish and split decision to copy the wish for the win. I don't think you can hardcast wish and copy it, for wish itself is already very clunky.
Why play 19 lands? One Boseiju in the main? I remember I saw your list on Tcdecks with 18 lands including two city and one Boseiju. I am a bit curious how it works for you.
If you really want to make room for another land, I assume that cutting a DTT and leaving it in the SB as a wish target may be okay, but I haven't tested it.
Lately the only decks I loose are team america. Wasteland is a hell of a card. And in wanna fit a basic mountain (yes im crazy). But i always disliked the impulse.
Will think everything again. Just the cmc2 cards are absurdly bad and clunky. Also if u draw it and cast it (which happens a lot makes your firemind not so strong).
Just a matter of peference.
2 volcanic 1 mountain
I have also been playing with 3 volcanic (they just wasteland volcanics all time and I wanna the red mana postboard so much.
Now I want:
Mountain
5 island
8 fetch
2 volcanic
2 city
1 boseiju
19
Then why not play more impulses? Ifnm you need them so badly?
I dont wanna be rude. Just wanna know all theory in and out.
