    Re: 4 Card Blind

Rider can't race the tokens. 1/1 + Pendelhaven (2/3) blocks Rider forever without either dying. Eventually there are enough tokens to catch up with the lifegain. I only bring it up because the deck...

    Re: 4 Card Blind

Not quite as many. I think Tabernacle's worth more.

You still draw Wrath. If Inkmoth attacks, Stomp kills it (-1 land) then Mayor wins.

Rooster can Maze Inkmoth while growing Shambler and do...

    Re: 4 Card Blind

I find Maze is only oppressive with Tabernacle. Maze can only answer 1 threat. It's worse than removal against anything that can go wide (Mayor, Thallid). Tabernacle is very good against going wide,...

    Re: Bumbleberry Pie

    That looks tighter.

Good point, Energy Field is better on its own. I play multiple Energy Fields over Web for that reason. It can buy many turns to draw out of a bad board state. I thought it'd...

    Re: Bumbleberry Pie

For 80-card with UWb, maybe something like this
(Edit: I can see why you have Energy Field as a 1-of because it's awkward with Planeswalkers. Web of Inertia works though)

    I went with 1 Scroll...

    Re: Bumbleberry Pie

Yeah, that's a good point about Curse buying tempo to set up. In 60-card I could never find room, but you have space in 80 and it cycles and adds to enchantment count.

I think Omen is great here...

    Re: Bumbleberry Pie

Yeah, when I was talking above about why restrict yourself to the Estrid's/Yorion flicker engine, I was thinking more of UW RipHelm. Once you remove the ETB synergies there's less reason to play the...

Nice deck. I had a feeling Swamp+Fourth Bridge Prowler would be strong this round, but you found the better Prowler deck.

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

That calculation is less logical than it seems. It assumes you will face the same meta represented in the data (the data are implicitly weighted in that sum). That makes strong model assumptions even...

Re: [Primer] Six Shades of Dressnought aka Vaka-Nought

This deck is a good example of why multiple Sundial and Torpor Orb looks bad. So much draw variance and so many dead cards.

There's no reason not to present the data and also test it, showing both. If some don't trust the testing, they can ignore that part, but for those who do they are given more rather than less.

    Looks good.

Is this deck dependent enough on Sanctum that you'd want Consecrate Land in the SB vs Wastelands? (Lands, Delver, D&T)

Re: [Primer] Six Shades of Dressnought aka Vaka-Nought

I don't see the appeal of Dress Down+Endurance. You 3-for-2 yourself just to make a flash 3/4 creature for 1U. If you paid 1GG you would get that same creature with reach, without card disadvantage,...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

I presented both because I think players may have different opinions on this when the numbers get messier. For 60-40, it's simple to do the mental math for win% and total number of matches, so the...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

600-400 is obviously more meaningful than 6-4. But let's look at less extreme cases.

If HomeBrew.dec goes 6-4 vs Delver, does that mean your homebrew is favored against Delver or was that just a...

The best abuse of that I've seen is the new GW Aggro-Enchantress, which dumps the mana into levelling up Paladin Class and then activating Destiny Spinner multiple times after drawing 10 free cards....

    Re: Dwarf Bugs

It probably depends on the matchup. Sundering Titan is probably better against multicolor fair decks packed with StPs and multiple land types to hit. Has it been forced to kill your Scrubland and...

I like that you can use either Stoneforge or Magda to make Kaldra.

What's the reason for Sundering Titan over the stock Platinum Angel or Platinum Emperion? Your deck can't really leverage the...

Proliferating the Parallax enchantments seem fun, but then you need mana acceleration because they're too slow on 4 lands. Daze also looks bad for the same reason.

    Calciform Pools is also too...

Yeah, the early sets had a lot of hate but then also very specific counters to that hate.

Incubation, Jegantha and Ragavan all look good.

I still think the fetch-dual manabase will be better if the deck reduces its colors (if playing against an opponent and not just goldfishing). 5...
