Alright, the topic is B&R, so make arguments pursuant to that, not about what cred and/or clout you might have.

    Thanks.
  4. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

You might be right there, those cases have always confused me, honestly.

Yeah, I should have seen that off the bat, but my brain saw "token" and immediately stopped reading.
  5. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

Apparently (and not shockingly) they made a mistake, the Water Gun Balloon card is not Eternal Legal:

I'm not exactly sure, but it might only consider what the values are when the spell resolves?
  7. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

Here are the examples, so far, that I think we have been shown to be Eternal legal cards:

Not this one actually, see the post further below:

Especially since card availability was a total non-factor for these. Still, I think that goes to show that, even if UR Delver is "the best deck" (at least in theory) some people will just play...

Charts are from the Legacy Data Collection Project, you can find the decklists at the URL under each image.

Re: Eternal Weekend Nov 19-21 2021

Alright, lets talk about Eternal Weekend in the context of the game of Magic, not in terms on anything else. I don't want to have to delete this topic, please, thanks.

Indeed, although if the actually win/loss was in the cell, rather than just a percentage, you could see the the notional power somewhat immediately. So, instead of 75% being in a cell, put 3-1, so...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

I was thinking last night that the chart I posted might be a little more interesting if each cell had the actual match-up wins and losses, so one could easily see the notional power at a glance.

Can't say, wasn't me who made it. That is something like 24 events, I think. But I don't know how much data each field might have in it.

Wow, this is some interesting data to look at:

This is all the matchup data since 8/8 (excluding, by the author, Koke_MTG, the September 26th Invitational) for...
  15. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

In a sense, yes, but there would seem to be a fairly common instance where this would not be the case, namely when they have removal in hand. Borrower in that case still does what it does. Plus...
  16. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

But what deck would use it? Maybe Spirits, but that is a fringe deck that questionable if better than Humans. I don't think any deck wants to cast it for three mana, so it would likely only be used...
  17. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

I mean, you could make a super grindy deck with Lingering Souls. But it probably is too slow much of the time (and you'd be very vulnerable to Spell Pierce).

Triggers on Force of Will and/or Delve creatures. But no evasion or anything.
  19. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

    Yes.
  20. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

Yeah, I mean, I probably was a bit harsh, but I don't know that it seems all that good. Maybe in a non-Legacy format? Not sure. I mean, apples and oranges, but the new 4-mana Sorin seems much...

This card doesn't seem terrible. Seems like something you can pair fairly well with Vial/Flickerwisp, since 'Wisp can EOT temporarily remove a blocker and then...

Not sure this Dark Confidant impersonator is worth 4 mana, but right off that bat, it doesn't seem terrible, at least.

    Re: MTG Arena

I'd don't even want to think of how long it would take for me, I haven't opened Arena since the start of the year. I've gone in on board games this year, so I really don't spend any time on a...
