    Re: MTG Arena

Alchemy is a deal breaker for me personally. They're just clearly taking the game in directions I don't like, and that's fine enough, I guess, but I'm not going to stick around and pay money for it....

  3. Re: Innistrad Crimson Vow: A Red Wedding That Won't Dissapoint!

It's three mana AND you need three other dudes in play -none of which can be tokens - for it to be bigger than 'Goyf. That strikes me as an issue.

mods can you delete the spoiler thread i started for this, no reason for the forum to get cluttered, thanks

    Re: MTG Arena

historic brawl has turned to shit remarkably fast, every time i que up with some fun commander casual thematic thing i just run into nothing but esika/golos idiots who win through sheer power...
  6. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

Finally white gets playable direct planeswalker removal, been (one of many of) the colors biggest weakness for years now
  7. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

Teferi and the Slime both work really well with the lotus field card that has you sac 2 lands to play it. There's my big brain thought for the day, enjoy.
  8. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

I think Ward is the big difference here. Having some protection, or at least card disadvantage tied to removing it is a huge buff.
  9. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

that's the shittiest version of meddling mage i've ever seen
  10. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

There's a fringe "copy tasha's hideous laughter" deck in std 2022 already. this is going to push it hard. it's the least interactive least fun thing to play against ever.
  11. Re: Innistrad Midnight Hunt: Wolf's is back baby. Its good again. Awoouu! (werewolf H

have jace rap about how he and all the bitches he taps sign mutual consent forms

    Re: MTG Arena

That is good news. The article is kind of hilarious though. Like, the reason those decks "only" have a 51.5% winrate is because everyone is pre-boarded against them. I swear wotc isn't run by...

    Re: MTG Arena

I've ground up to Mythic a couple of times. It's really not worth it imho. Anymore I just play up to Platinum for the card styles then go mess around in the casual ques. Historic is a garbage town...
  16. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

Pretty sure that would be fighting for slots with Mazemind Tome in a Sol/Post deck, and Tome is just flat out better since it costs the same but has more options and gains you life instead of costing...
  17. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

This takes Aluren down to a 2 card combo. That's the most compact it's ever been. Could very well be good enough as a deck again considering you're in B/G and can just run the rest with disruption....
  18. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

If only these were coinflips... RIP Mana Clash wins.
  19. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

I'm less convinced. For six mana that's a 5/3 trample flyer plus a hasty Tarmogoyf or hasty SFM or something. That's a whole lotta value, and doesn't include how strong the modality is. I mean, I...
  20. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

Ok, Orcus is just a freaking stupid card. Mass removal OR mass reanimation that grants haste on a 5/3 flyer for 4+X mana? That's nuts.
  21. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

Trelassara Mood Dancer makes three cards now that +1/+1 themselves with lifegain. Griffon Aerie is another white payoff for lifegain card, plus there's always the pay 50 life deal 50 damage...

  23. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

yes, exactly, you can only go forwards, and it ticks every time you "enter the dungeon", but not any other time.
  24. Re: D&D (Maybe Better Off) Forgotten Realms Previews

Mechanics article is up, includes a couple cards, and Dungeons.
