Unfortunately true.
This is really the only argument for banning probe that is convincing. It's not bannable on merits, but if everyone hates it but me and Ron, probably worth banning it.

Just chiming in again to say Ron is still right, and Gitaxian Probe is fine.
Forest players just mad people see they have nothing and kill them, instead of getting to pretend they had something.
Yeah, all the hand-wringing about the new mulligan is substantially overwrought.
People aren't going to be throwing away keepable sevens because their six might be the nuts, and going to five is...
Do you actually do this? This sounds more unbearable than all the fetching I've experienced in competitive magic, combined.
Relax a second guys, it's just mana fixing.
super spicy decks this time guys, nice job
Apologies for not calculating as well, I'll also be taking the JosefK route this time. Thanks for putting my score together for round 1!
I mean, sherbet is delicious. I do get sherbet done.
Perfection as usual Tsumi
This is really a prescriptivist vs. descriptivist thing. I am obviously the latter.
I'd be interested to know what you think of the "is a hot dog a sandwich?" debate. I have a guess.

My point with this is that whatever distinction you choose to make between them is wholly arbitrary, and things like high-level shooters and MOBAs demand exceptional physical abilities, even if the...
"I like this thing, but I'm mad about what they call it?"
Maybe they get better reactions when they bill it as a sport. Many of the trappings are the same (regional teams, jerseys,...
I never understood this prejudice. I suppose it makes less sense for Magic, where there isn't a physical component really, but I think it's pretty reasonable to consider, say, Overwatch League...
this is easily my favorite submission I've seen
the best part is that it can make it non-deterministic
Edit: I didn't read the random rule. DISAPPOINTING
I don't think it would be oppressive, but I was thinking something cute like:
Force of Will
Misthollow Griffin
Saprazzan Skerry
City of Traitors
Or something like that.
I agree, and well that it shouldn't, but the effect is still more "Red" than scry is, from a flavor perspective.
Delver of Secrets is absolutely a blue card. Whether it's balanced or good for the color pie is a reasonable question to ask, certainly.
Magma Jet is a great example of what I'm saying - sure, red...
Scry, especially with N > 1, isn't impulsive - the flavor is about a wizard performing divination and making preparations.
Also, I think that Sphinx is not good - everyone looks at the Scry 3 half...
Survival of the Fittest is fair right now. If they unbanned it I don't think it would do anything except maybe make another cool Tier 2 deck.
"Utility?"
The reason he wrote it like he...
Yes, personally, I would, but I would totally play in a Legacy that has fetchlands banned, too. I'm generally pretty easy (that's why you'll see me advocate against bans in the B&R thread and for...
I can't speak for the person to whom you're replying, but I personally do feel like the fetch/dual action contributes to the inherent feel of eternal formats (it has been interesting playing Gifts...
Wouldn't Chalice and other glass cannon decks get worse? If the one game is the one where they don't draw their stupid sol + cup combo, they're boned, and if they do, more decks would actually have...
I find tempo much more fun to play against than DnT personally, but yes, Red Prison has many similar qualities to DnT that make them both miserable. I would say that DnT is more like stubbing all ten...
Isn't there a modern deck that is playing terminus? I'm pretty sure that format doesn't have Brainstorm in it.
I also don't think that banning brainstorm would make it possible to unban DTT,...
Just looking at the timeline of a few recent ones (I can't really speak for the time before I played regularly, because I wouldn't have a good sense of the community sentiment):
Modern, 2014: Ban...
As I've argued before, these bans were about public perception, rather than actual brokenness. In this case, the boon to the playerbase was assumed to be the banning itself, so no compensation was...
