    Re: MTG Arena

Now that some good quality WotC stuff here.

Wasn't there a bug once on MTGO which only worked with the foil version of a card?

Just programming wise, no idea how it can be this bad.
    Somehow...

Value demon of drawing many cards is also still an option.

Apparently these are on mythicspoiler for a few days now:

You can still use Show&Tell and the demon of balance and card draw.
However this guy is slow, weak to removal and requires to be unblocked/something unblockable.
Not being able to use the spaghetti...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

"Is it good in combo" is a bad metric.

The comparison with combo is nonsense because combo relies on resolving certain spells in a certain order to win instantly.
Almost all other decks don't do...

Re: Mono Black Rip Helm Gains

Seems like a "trying to do too many things at once pile".
If you draw the wrong mix of cards you won't do either and you don't have Brainstorm to fix your draws.

I'd rather lose the beatdown plan...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

Comparing resolving monke vs resolving a combo win con is total nonsense.

While you don't lose directly if you can't answer the monke instantly, the longer it sticks around, the lower are your...

    Re: MTG Arena

The difference is that Magic is (was) designed around random draws but deterministic effects.
That is just the mechanics of how card games work.

Unless the game is designed for "play this card...

One could almost say that RNG in games that aren't designed around it are bad.
    Who knew?

    Re: MTG Arena

Is it me or has arena been even buggier since they introduced alchemy?

I did their stupid sealed event just to drop out because my Jadar refused to make tokens after it did in the first game.

Can we derail this thread even more?

Discussions about quantum physics would be less grade schooly.

Still considerable fast vs removal and can technically win hard cast.

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

A lot of factors playing into the decline of "pure turn dude sideways" aggro.

Most of them are facets of combo and blue getting good creatures.
Something that wasn't mentioned so far is...

Do you seriously think that legacy has any kind of relevancy on the prices of a card that is also relevant in modern?

Arena has already too many formats/versions of formats to clutter the ui and fracture the player base.

Re: Eight Crab - The new Mill.

The thing is that without crabs you don't have any targets for removal, blanking a lot of cards in certain decks.
This allows your opponent to interact with you and slow you down.
    If you don't play...

    Re: MTG Arena

The question is more why arena ever needed to be a 1:1 port of paper in the first place (which already existed) instead of something else with the IP that is more accessible to casuals.

    That is...
