I think they did ... (?)
WotC is going to make an important announcement regarding DC by the end of april.
Presumably a number of cards will come off the banned list and will be added to the new list of "game changers"....
Is there anybody else interested in trying this format out ?
I've been goldfishing my first DC deck and I must say I haven't been this much hyped about MTG in a long time.
DC feels like you can...
Thanks, FourDogs.
Always looking forward to read your excellent replies.
Does Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy's ability allow him to cast sorceries during combat or during an opponent's turn ?
If I attack with Keldon Flamesage and I have Harmonic Prodigy out can I then look at the top of my deck twice, potentially exiling two cards and then casting both for free ?
A couple of observations :
Ignoble Hierarch is not only the preferred T1 drop, he can also become a dangerous attacker when supported by Harmonic Prodigy because of the double Exalted trigger....
Blossoming Defense is an excellent suggestion, Rufus especially with a possible 3 mana on T2 this card can come alive real fast.
You're right about not wanting to tap into another color (white),...
I understand where you are going with your deck suggestions, FTW, but personally I try to avoid the FoW, Daze, Ponder, Brainstorm package if I can simply because
1- I don't like playing with those...
And of course having a second ( or more ) Prodigy in play adds another coin toss thereby reducing even more the bad results and increasing the good results.
Maybe should try Krark out anyway :)
...
Ignoble Hierarch is a great fit for the Wizard/Shaman strategy as he puts you straight into business om T2
For example
T1 Hierarch
T2 Slickshot + Legolas = a 4/3 attacking slingshot + potentially...
I went back and forth on Krark but
1. he's just too unreliable and
2. if he does trigger again the spells become copies and copies are not "cast", thus do not trigger the Wizard effects.
DRC :...
***Bumps head***
Of course, Split Second.
Time to reevaluate.
And Ignoble Hierarch is a Shaman too and Exalted is a triggered ability
Hi FTW, thanks again for the feedback,
Legolas's Quick Reflexes would indeed fit in nicely and it's an upgrade over Shore up alright
but adding Green should offer me at least 1 very good Wizard...
Is it possible to make a competitive Tribal deck with ... Wizards ?
Let's see.
Tribal decks usually have some "Lord" creatures increasing other creatures' Power and Toughness to build around.
...
Thanks very much, FDHS.
Next up Champion of Wits after Dean.
Is it correct that you draw 2x2 cards but only discard 2 ?
What happens if you have Naban, Dean of Iteration in play and you play Aether Channeler next ?
If "choose one" is the actual trigger that would mean you can "choose one" TWICE, meaning you can...
Several new cards have been released that would fit this deck.
The most interesting imo is a common : Nettle Guard
For 2 mana you get 3 Power and the ability to destroy artifacts or enchantments...
And it just occurred to me Hex Parasite can not only do tricks with Urza's Saga but it can also keep Michiko's Reign going !!
Correct ... again. :)
I just tried a couple of games vs Wb Humans ( Aether Vial, Kudro ) and Etched Champion was stuck in my hand all game from the beginning.
Never enough mana leftover to cast...
Nice to see a similar deck is already in competition. Thanks for looking that up FTW.
I'd like to point out ( and hear your opinions ) on the inclusion of certain cards.
Shadowspear
I had this...
Question :
If Portrait of Michiko is bounced back into your hand, can you play Michiko's Reign again or is the card lost ?
Vault Skirge is a fantastic suggestion FTW.
Once Michiko Transforms however, he gets back to being just a 1/1 Flyer.
He can equip Nettlecyst alright but that's a 5-mana affair.
Cranial Plating...
Urza's Saga and Nettlecyst are established cards in Legacy.
Michiko's Reign of Truth is not and yet ... this card seems just as powerful ... given the right build.
Consider this opening :
T1...
Innkeeper's talent may be worth a look.
