Does anybody still follow this deck here?
Just wondering if anybody has tried out the new legacy legal Unfinity card Pair-O-Dice lost?

Great report!
Glad to hear these tournaments are happening again! What was the turnout?
Hope to make it there (and/or Kevin's kitchen table) myself one of these days.
Thanks!
Yes, those are always fun moments!
Hello everyone,
Haven't seen too much activity in here lately, so I thought I'd share a quick league report with Golgari Slow Depths.
List below.
R1: Hogaak (blue version). 2-0
G1:...
Interesting to note here too, that this discard heavy list did so well at a decent-sized tournament in a meta full of Veil of Summer.
In a vaccuum, Nevermore. Naming Tendrils of Agony game 1 will typically result in an instant concession, and Infernal Tutor games 2 and/or 3 will usually put you in a pretty good position.
Rest in...
It's game 3, so the opponent knows we are on Storm.
Did the opponent take any mulligans?
If not, go with the above sequence and hope for no Wasteland.
If so, perhaps hold off on casting...
Thanks for the response.
Curious about the storm assessment though. From my own experiences as a storm player, and from others I've spoken with, this deck is generally considered a tough matchup for...
Definite possibility. I hadn't thought of this...
I was actually considering goblins as well.
Thank you everyone for the responses.
Hello everyone,
Starting to get back into the game after not having played in quite a while (since well before the probe/DRS bans), and I'm curious to know people's thoughts on what an "ideal" deck...
Just curious, as someone new to this deck, what are our best and worst matchups these days?
Storm player here. I can verify this. Mindbreak Trap is one of the things I fear the least out of opposing sideboards.
A better option for Shardless would be to maximize the discard, and then use...
With those experiences in mind, do you have any thoughts on possible alternatives for Deathrite Shaman for this sort of build?
I have been testing a bit with this recently in Storm as a proactive and non-Green/Abrupt Decay way to deal with Miracles/Counterbalance, and potentially Chalice of the Void decks as well.
With...
What if wizards were to print a cycle like this?
Blighted Isle
Land - Island Swamp
T: Add B or U to your mana pool.
Blighted Isle comes into play tapped unless you control two or fewer other...
Storm players are going to love this!
A lot of Storm variants are using Ground Seal nowadays to get around Deathrite Shaman, Surgical Extraction, etc. from decks like Czech Pile.
This seems like...
It is not bad at all. Caleb Sherer has used this approach to a lot of success in the past. See the link in post 5940 in this thread for more detail on this.
For the new Miracles players out there, what do you think are the best and worst matchups for the deck post top ban?
I have started experimenting a bit with one Collective Brutality in the main in place of one Duress. Results are inconclusive just yet, but it has allowed me to deal with a Deathrite Shaman G1, and...
Play out your Lotus Petals and LED's. Protect tutors and rituals with Brainstorm as best you can. If you have Flusterstorms bring those in (they can be decent at stopping Hymn, K. Command, and other...
FWIW, having now played approximately 75 games with Ground Seal in the sideboard, my experiences with it so far have been:
-If you see a Deathrite Shaman G1, rule of thumb is bring it in for G2 and...
This is an interesting point that I have been dealing with a lot lately.
I have often found that with 15 lands, I seem to get land flooded a lot, and/or draw lands at the least opportune times....
Perhaps 1-2 copies of Tasigur might be a good option here (and in general).
It is both card advantage and a reasonable win condition.
Side it out/shuffle it away vs. decks with Karakas.
