  1. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

This seems like it has potential in storm decks:

Even a minimum roll of 2 could pull multiple mana rocks and Infernal Tutor, and ~97% of the time it rolls 3 or higher and can also return a 1...

    Re: [DECK] Miracle Warriors

Fair enough. I just figured it might make sense to split the concept into its own thread.
  3. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

There's Illusionary Mask which got changed a bunch of times. I'm not sure whether you want to count it or not.
  4. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

Seems pretty OP for a fetchable land.
  5. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

Another bad combo is that Saw in Half + Dualcaster Mage produces infinitely many 1/1 copies of Dualcaster Mage if there's an initial target for Saw In Half.
  6. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

Acorn is illegal, and I concur that it's a poor design choice and implementation.
  7. Re: Unfinity - black-bordered Un-Set, partially Eternal-legal

It ends the game if the cards gives additional untap and attack like Fury of the Horde or Time Warp.

    [DECK] Miracle Warriors

The 40k set includes Sister Repentia and Triumph of Saint Catherine which are 5-power creatures that can be miracle cast for 2 mana. Now, it's not entirely clear whether a 5/5 lifelink for 2 mana is...

Re: [40k] Cards for the card game: 40k spoilers ITT

No. Volrath's Stronghold does have the advantages of reliably coming into play untapped and being repeatable, but Witch's Cottage is a swamp so it produces B, is fetchable and has an effective...

Re: [Deck] W/x Parfait (Tax/Rack Control)

Do you think that it's a good deal to spend :2: on scroll rack and another :1: on activating it to get a :2: + :1: = :3: discount on casting a spell?

Re: [40k] Cards for the card game: 40k spoilers ITT

Another aspect of that might be to pile on miracles. It seems like Triumph of Saint Catherine, Sister Repentia (also from the 40k set) and Temporal Mastery could all fit together in the same deck.

Re: [40k] Cards for the card game: 40k spoilers ITT

    I'm curious about:

The fantasy is dropping it on turn 2 off Ignoble Hierarch and then generating incremental ramp plus value. On the other hand, the P/T is pretty low for a 3 cost creature...

Seems like it has potential in something dredge-like.

Can do Necrotic Ooze style combos with, e.g. Phyrexian Devourer and Walking...

Re: [40k] Cards for the card game: 40k spoilers ITT

MIll and immediate reanimation also dodges some kinds of GY hate, but I think the mana cost is going to be too much for reanimator, even as sideboard tech. It takes a long time to get to 6 lands.
  15. Re: [DMU] Dominaria United: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

Does something like Rona's Vortex have a place in Legacy?

Seems like it can buy some time early, and then work as removal later.
  16. Re: [DMU] Dominaria United: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

Doesn't seem like it does much that Moon Stompy wants. 4/4 for 4 doesn't close the game out all that fast, it doesn't lock down the opponent, and the cost reduction isn't a big deal for a deck that...
  17. Re: [DMU] Dominaria United: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

It's got "Urza but fixed" vibes. Dies to bolt, no token synergies, actually makes people pay mana for the spells. I'm not sure they'd print something like that in blue.

    In principle, it could...
  18. Re: [DMU] Dominaria United: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

I was thinking urzatron when I saw it, but I don't think that's popular in legacy.
  19. Re: [DMU] Dominaria United: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

A two-card combo that doesn't end the game immediately seems implausible in legacy.
  20. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

Maybe there's a combo interaction, but I think that's mostly going to be win-more. Paradoxical Outcome is also likely to be better in many scenarios.
  21. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

Looking through the set made me wonder: when if Ogre-head helm is attached to a creature and that creature deals damage to an opponent. Do you sacrifice the creature or the helm , the creature for...
  22. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

I wonder whether there's a way to make them work with a repeating loot effect like Riddlesmith, Hazoret's Monument or Jeskai Ascendancy, but I doubt that something like that will ever be a tier deck...
  23. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

Yeah, that seems pretty nutty when there are lots of cards that are balanced by discard like Breakthrough and Gamble. There are probably random discard piles with Burning Inquiry/Control of the...
  24. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

Just play it with Spy Kit and 0 cc creatures.
  25. Re: Kamigawa Neon Destiny - A victory lap around Netrunner

Sorry, I overlooked your comment. I wonder if someone busted out the crayons and is editing the rules so that twitter comment doesn't have to be walked back.
