I have a question about this that was on a lot of people's minds after the last tournament where we were informed that Top 4 cannot split; is the prize support for Top 4 going to be the same or are we doing it like usual? I have no preference either way because I can't seem to win in Legacy anyways. :(

I haven't checked my schedule for this one, but like usual, I'll probably have my ass in a chair for the first round, especially since the last two were so much fun. The only real problem would be if I was completely wiped out from the PTQ the day before, but I have Magic stamina that goes on for days and I'm pumped about this.

I'm hoping atleast 2 Team Awesome members will make an appearance. It's either all of us or none of us at this point. A week after the GP :_)

The last one was a lot of fun so Team Insightful will probably show up with 3 dudes again.

The idea that top 4 cant split is rediculous. It should be unanimous but if it is people should be able to split. In any event ill be there. On time too so other players better be ready because this time Im coming for the top prize. Should be a fun tourny as the last one was a blast.

It may or may be "rediculous", but it is the current DCI rule. You *can* split as long as you play out at least the semifinal matches. If you want to complain about the rule, complain to the DCI.
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.

Bummer that this thing is on a Sunday. Don't suppose there is any chance that is a typo? I would make the drive with possibly one or two others if it were on Saturday.

There's a PTQ in Massachusetts that Saturday. It probably would hurt attendance a lot to compete with a PTQ.

For those on the source that do not know...

Team insight is a team of magic players based out of the Poughkeepsie area. We have a slew of events we have won and placed respectubly at. One of our members won states this year, we drafted all day at worlds in NYC for FREE and we are selective in who we allow to join us. We play the game and turn a profit.

Team insightful are the kids that do not make the cut. They are upset, and it is understandable.

Team insight will have at least 4 players at this event...We will have players top eight based off more than just dumb Donk luck. We will be respectful to other teams and make the magic environment a fun and inviting place for people.

Team insightful will have to ask mom and dad for gas money, hope others get land screwed and at the end of the day post spitefully about other teams because there fragile high-school ego got shattered when they were told the simple truth that their play skill is sub-par, predictable, and non of them have any notable accomplishments.

    So why bring it up?

    A) Because some people like back story to upcoming tournaments and this seems like the place to post it.

    B) "Team" insightful blatantly insulted us on these forums, it bruised some egos and now I am calling them out.

I can't wait for the tournament on the 15th so this community can see who the real team is and who has no business casting stones.

Whoa, random flame war. This can only be settled by a fight to the death tournament style. Whoever wins the grid tourney has bragging rights to the name insight/insightful. It has begun...

I already won the last one. Besides, this will be settled before we even get there.
