My deck on 2 championships got 5 wins and 6 losses.

Lower expression in championship made a 3 -1 and stayed in 4th place among 8 players

Already in a big tournament with 42 players the result set was 2-5

    I'm still testing deck

why play xantids and oozes in your main deck?
the decks needs speed. not mid range something strategy.
try using the traditional build. it will give you better results.

    SB plan is another thing.

I normally have 8 x 2 cc creature drops, 4 remain ledgewalkers but I was thinking of 4 bassists tower archer to give us 8 hex proof dudes for dropping a berserk on. Anyone tried this over Geist etc yet?

This is good if your meta packs a lot of spot removals.

However, if your meta has an abundant source of combo decks, then i'd prefer Kavu over this.
Kavu grows twice as compared to this one.

    Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy

I think Poxy's right, just playing Berserk these days there's almost no incentive unless it's infect, it just makes too much sense.

However, I recently had been trying to craft a non-berserk, borderline "fast zoo", Sui Green Stompy list. My goal was to just puke out my hand, offer a little protection, then hopefully ride that to the finish. Some card ideas

    Creature Ideas?

    Fyndhorn Elves
The idea was that although he slows you down T1, he can set up really explosive T2 with Rogue Elephant + 1-2 creatures, and mitigates the land drawback.

    Rogue Elephant
It kind of seems wrong not running him in a non-berserk, it would be like Faerie Stompy removing Sear Drake. The drawback you almost don't care about 'cause you're not playing past 1-2 cmc.

    Dryad Militant
Right off the bat he's an improved Jungle lion. Possible snapcaster and goyf hate, if we choose to sidestep goyf.

    Jungle Lion
2/1 beater, I'd probably only run if mono green. If white splash it makes no sense running him.

    Loam Lion
He seems way better than Skyshroud Elite, but also more vulnerable. Just an idea, not sure if worth the splash.

    Tarmogoyf
Might be worth it, but a bit slow in a deck that wants to put immediate pressure.

    Plant Elemental
An immediate 3/4 body, possibly bigger than goyf immediately and safe from lightning bolt.

    Elvish Spirit Guide
    Free accelleration, surprise plays.

    Support Spells?

    Bounty of the Hunt
This is the perfect all-in card for freen, if you get 3 for 1'd, well, sucks to be you. Otherwise it's permanent +3/+3, you lose no tempo, and can save creatures from pyroclasm and bolts.

    Ranger's Guile
A newer card I feel like it's really overlooked and multifunctional. Not only can it give a small boost but the hexproof can counter most early removal, I feel like the deck needs spells like this that give it that edge it needs to steal the win.

    Rancor
I mean, this cards just so damn good, it almost never loses value as game goes on and gives you the evasiveness to break through. Even a 1/1 elf can turn into a 5/1 pseudo ball lightning as long as you can keep a creature swinging.

    Drop of Honey
This was an idea, since you're generally going to have the bigger creature, drop this against shardless or any weenie deck like elves, goblins, merfolk and sit behind your 3/3 while they get slowly taken out one by one each turn.

I dunno if anyone has any other good ideas let me know, still brainstorming..
May your suffering equal your weakness

I am going to make come back with this deck.
I will post my results after christmas after my holiday errands.

Happy holidays to all fellow berserk players around the globe!

    CHEERS!

    edit:
    3/5/15
I used the deck last weekend in a GPT wherein 34 players showed up.
i only managed to win my 1st round game (vs DnT) then lost three in a row (miracles, elves, grixis) before dropping out.

I'll give the deck some tweaks and give it another shot. ^_^
    The list:

    5peso stumpy
    paeng
    4 kavu, 4 silhana
    2 scryb, 4 skarrgan, 4 nettle, 4 militant
    4 berserk, 4 might, 3 rancor, 4 invigorate, 4 mutagenic
    4 g.probe
    15 forest

    SB
3 seeds of innocence, 3 vines of vastwoods
2 surgical, 2 needle, 3 vexing susher, 2 graftdigger cage

    Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy

Long time that I don't post anything here, but since noone else did, I'll share some stuff

First of all, Caleb Durward talked about a Berserk Stompy in this article:
    http://www.channelfireball.com/home/...fate-reforged/

Second, I know the list in the primer is not up-to-date with current stuff. I believe things like Gitaxian Probe, Experiment One should replace some cards there.

Last, some ideas on the side of using something around 12~16 hexproof creatures have been around lately, which would include Slippery Bogle, Silhana Ledgewalker and Bassara Tower Archer, and/or Gladecover Scout. Probably viable, together with a infinite count of pumps, probably 3 Sylvan Library, and 4 Gitaxian Probes
If you fail to explain the reason behind your choice, technically, it's the wrong choice.

    Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy

    Ola chicka dora everyone!!!

How are you my fellow (traditional) berserk lovers!?
I wish you all a great day!

I used this beloved deck five times this year.

    - March GPT Kyoto in which I won against Death and Taxes. Lost to Elves, Miracle and Grixies before dropping out from that contest. (1-3)

    - One of the 32 man single elimination (Friday) side event at GP Kyoto (April). I won against: GW Maverick and BUG. Lost to URW Stoneblade (eventual winner of that Pod). (2-1)

    - Friday legacy side event at GP Singapore. Bye and Death and Taxes were my wins. Lost to Miracle, The Epic Storm and Goblins. (2-3)

    - Sunday legacy side event at GP Singapore. Won against RUG, UW stoneblade but lost to miracle, AnT then dropped. (2-2)

    - And last (but not the least for this year I hope), last night. I got in a hot start by winning my first two games (Burn and MUD) but unfortunately fell to my 3rd and 4th round opponents (Merfolk and Dark Maverick). (2-2)

For a total win-loss card of 9 wins and 11 losses.

I’m not yet giving up on this deck.
I will continue to use this in every legacy side event of a Grand Prix that I will be part of.

Anyone played with this during 2015?
    How did you do?

    Advance happy holidays everyone!

Probably not. Latest versions rather use Infect & Scale Up (with Blighted Agent & Blue Support / Force of Will, etc.) for faster wins.

There is a non-Infect version that's done well lately. It uses Landfall creatures instead.

Otherwise the Berserk Stompy archetype is outdated. There's no reason to cast Berserk+pump spells on 1-mana 2/2s when you can get more value casting those same spells on Glistener Elf or Steppe Lynx. The Infect version is more combo-oriented with protection (FoW, Daze). The Landfall version is truer to the original Berserk Stompy shell with a bunch of efficient aggro creatures and just the possibility to Berserk alpha strike.

    Re: [Deck] Berserk Stompy

    0x2 Sneak and Show
Aqui fui atropelado, não deu para anotar a placa. O oponente no seu primeiro turno fez Pétala de Lótus + Ancient Tomb + Show and Tell + Onisciência e eu juntei as cartas. No game 2, no turno 2 do oponente, o próprio fez Show and Tell + Onisciência e eu novamente recolhi as cartas.

This can be a very surprising list winning most of the time turn 1, but it is a bit weak post board to chalice of the void, ashiok, dream render and similar cards.
