Being that I go to Virginia Tech, there is literally no reason for me to not show up. Bringing 2 others as well.
"Maybe a long life does have to be filled with many unpleasant conditions if it's to seem long. But in the event, who wants one?"
"I do," Dunbar told him.
"Why?" Clevinger asked.
"What else is there?"
will prizes increase if attendance is increased?
Depending on turnout (40+ people), we may add more prizes
What do you think the expected turnout is going to be in the range of? I was under the impression that there wasn't much of a legacy scene in Blacksburg itself. I know with the tourney being in VA, a lot of nova people could come down, but does any of the regular fun-n-games crew play legacy competatively?

there are actually about 3-4 people plus myself that play legacy here. we have a pretty significant EDH scene here with plenty of people owning older cards and enough people asked for a legacy event that I thought the store may want to try it out. the place is nowhere near as big as star city, but my goal is to get the store on the map if anything else.
Wowzers I didn't know there was legacy here..interesting. I might have to put something together.

just keeping the post updated. hopefully many will show up to enjoy this!
bumping this for the day
Just keeping this posted up
Today's Tournament had 12 people attending it and was a great success. We are going to schedule more future Legacy Events, likely with a cumulative prize pool with specific numbers of players.
Although our computer had a software error at finals with us unable to get complete tournament results and winners, our top 2 players decided to split first and second place by trading in the winnings for cold hard (green!) cash!
A few of the Mtg The Source regulars have pictures of the event, our store's goodies for sale including many dual lands, the winners of the event celebrating their victory, and a group hug with me for last place winners!! (Well, you Mtg The Source guys asked if there would be a prize, so I offered as a complete stranger a hug for last place prize, out of sheer randomness and humor lol ) I do not have current access to these and am pretty bad technologically with these digital cameras, but if any of you want to share the pictures and spread the word about Fun-N-Games and how cool it is, feel free to do so!!!
Everyone here locally and that came from far away had a wonderful time. Fun-N-Games and I hope that more will have the pleasure of coming down to our small town store for some big time fun and prizes!!!
