If anything, the deck that is closest to 4c Loam in terms of gameplan is probably D&T (non-blue control deck with mana denial elements and hate)
In a Delver/Tempo meta, a deck that mainly plays lands and loam, is really good vs Wasteland, Daze, and Force of Will.

I’d agree vs turbo depths, but GW depths is a grindy KOTR deck with mox diamond and GSZ. The decks are pretty similar.

The question is whether elvish reclaimer/ending/plow/crop are better than decay/chalice/pfire/bob

Another problem with the deck right now is that it tends to - for lack of a better term - slouch around. It doesn't matter if you have an amazing late game in a format where the best decks have powerful moves right away and their late games are really Aggro Loam's midgame. During the first few turns, Aggro Loam tends to make a lot of mistakes, especially if you don't open on a Mox Diamond. You're trying to start several engines that each have a relatively weak cycle, but their combined power is much more powerful. Furthermore, Aggro Loam can't do anything with the stack, except for Chalice. This means the deck has to rely on having a powerful presence on the field to win. These things work together to make the deck not very good in the current game diving picks.com.

Although I think it synergizes better in loam pox, people are also testing Currency Converter in jund loam.

Instead of using Raven’s Crime and Smallpox, he is using faithless looting and magmatic channeler to self discard. You gain pFire which benefits from all the discarding as well, but you lose some loams, basics, utility lands, and nether spirit.
