    Question:

    Can a player exile all cards in his graveyard even if his/her graveyard is empty?

    I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

    Yes, just like you can discard your hand (to pay for Lion's Eye Diamond's activation, for example) even if you don't have any cards in hand
