    Re: 4c Control

The card choices I'm most interested in are:
    Baneslayer Angel
    Sakura-Tribe Elder
    Firespout
    Sylvan Library
    Vedalken Shackles

These cards are or were in one format or another all good. However, Baneslayer Angel is not very good in legacy where Broodmate Dragons are no longer your chief concern. I think that the slot would be better occupied by something along the lines of Eternal Dragon. STE is hardly as effective as Noble Hierarch don't you think? Firespout wipes your board too. It hits most of your creatures. Sylvan Library/Shackles as one of's is kind of silly.
    feefox: each card in hand!!!!

I obviously don't speak for dsck, but I can see all those choices to be really good.
Baneslayer is good at racing everything. It's a nice (not-so-)late game bomb. Vedalken and Silvan Lybrary produce respectively board advantage and card quality/advantage (after you land BSlayer you basically draw 2/turn, plus is a free top/turn). I'd play more islands to support Schackles, though. Also, they don't seem silly at all.

This is not true. It kills basically only the chumplockers/utility creatures. Not the real key creatures (Baneslayer and Rhox).
Hint: Hirarch is bad with Firespout.

I'd probably play a third JTMS, and he 4th STE.
Are you into Jazz? Have a look at the Lp's I have for sale on Discogs!

    Re: 4c Control

Is Rhox War Monk and Baneslayer Angel better than Stoneforge Mystic into Batterskull? This deck's core is really similar to UW(r) Stoneblade/Snapcaster Control, only it's spreading the control across another color. Is the Green worth the splash?

I like the 4c Blue good stuff approach, at times I think it can be the right approach, but I'm not sold you're gaining enough in this case. With RUG Tempo's, and to a lesser degree Maverick's, ability to attack mana development I'd question whether this is the best approach for the meta.

I'd imagine your explanation of card choices will touch on this aspect, highlighting the gains from Green and a heavier Red splash.
