I wanted to start a thread about what everyone thinks the best matchups in Legacy are. What decks absolutely hate eachother, and are so close that every match is an absolute war. The aim of this thread is to find the sox/yankees of legacy.
I enjoy playing the trio - Canadian, Maverick, Stoneblade even though there is always a deck which is slightely favored (Maverick cough).
But one of the toughest games is the duel between two of my favorite decks: Canadian ******** vs HiveMind. Its always great especially if I play HiveMind and the Canadian-Pilot isnt that experienced - so its fair^^
Greetings
Doh, I read your thread title and got all excited - I thought you were posting about decks from the Nemesis set.

Are you looking for "rival" matchups, where the two decks have *close* matchups? Just like in sports, it ain't a rivalry unless the games are tight.
If you're just thinking about complete blowouts, I can think of:
- Non-interactive combo decks vs. most linear decks
- Aggro Loam curbstomping Canadian Thresh
- etc.
Not a very interesting topic since in the current Legacy meta it's kind of rock-paper-scissors anyways. I would say very balanced, no dominant deck.

I have heard that the Zoo vs Dead Guy matchup is close and fun.

I don't think there is this kind of rivalry...
I always enjoyed non mirror combo vs. combo matches though, both fun to watch and play, virtual combo "supremacy" feeling and demands on technical play makes every play and card drawn thrilling as it could be the last
yeah and I really dislike Burn players, losing to it is humiliating...
I feel uncomfortable playing against faster combo decks than mine (Spiral Tide): TES, DDFT, Reanimator and of course, there is always Dredge.
