I'd imagine this to be the most important topic for Vintage. It will probably see more play once WotC releases more From the Vaults sets, that way you don't need to see your friendly neighborhood black market kidney salesman just to play.

To be honest, I'm hoping for some 10-proxy tournaments in the area until I'm confident enough with the format and the local support to start investing in power. Not sure that will ever happen, but still...

Lord, would you be willing to edit your OP as we add places to the list? I'll add:

The Player's Guild. Bloomsburg, PA, monthly 10-proxy, usually for a Mox.
Lock Haven University. Lock Haven, PA. Occasional 25-proxy vintage, currently every other Tuesday (but the Tuesday schedule changes sometimes).

Right now we have a proxy tourney on the 5th Sunday of the month (unless it's a prerelease-then we do the 4th weekend) I'll be posting details for the one in September when we have them.

Are there anywhere to play in the dc-md-va area for vintage?

I think this is out of date. Mirkwood events have been Legacy for several years now. Unless they are running Vintage events without promoting them.

That said, +1 for Vintage events in the Seattle area. (And more Legacy on the Eastside!)

I love that we have a place to discuss this, but for easy of use, I really think we should have a sticky thread, which is locked and maybe a Mod can take the each store's info and have it neatly arranged by state (and possibly include the days that people usually play there).

When I am back to my computer, I will post three LI, NY spots I know of.

Let's try to keep the format similar to this to make it easy to read and concise. Links to website, telephone #s, and typical play nights would also be good to include.

    Some Southern California locations:

    Majestix Cards & Comics
    2075 Newport Blvd, Suite 104
    Costa Mesa, CA 92627
    949-650-6100

Thursdays & Saturday evenings for casual Legacy & Vintage, but no formal tournaments

    Knight Ware Inc
    3709 Cahuenga Blvd West
    Studio City, CA. 91604
    (818) 769-7830

Store credit tournaments for Vintage every 4-6 weeks, interspersed with Legacy prize/credit tourneys.

Sorry I've been bad about keeping up with the Vintage thread. I'll do my best to keep this updated in the future!

    Some updates.

I just played my first Vintage event this weekend. If you're going to try a format other than Legacy, I highly encourage you to try Vintage!

I may be moving into the Seattle area this summer, so I am hoping that this is a reality, or just that Vintage can be found in the area or created. Haven't found much lately there in terms of Vintage.

    Re: Places to play Vintage

I have taken on this role for "stores to play Legacy" as well, so hopefully this will give me motivation to be less deliquent about providing updates here!
